Good price but the retail is ridiculous. It's never that high.

Philips had a nationwide recall. They will send you a new machine free if your serial number matches their database. Might want to see if you can get a new free one first. I like my Resmed better than the Philips but you can't beat free.

I have the 11(this one) and it works great. No issues with reservoir. I noticed sometimes it will turn itself on but that's extremely rare.
Love the heated air tube on this one too. And the new mask design (full face mask with nasal pillow I think it's called?) with the tube on the crown of your head instead of in front of your face is the breast

took me 5 months of using it to get it right. I remember one cool November night waking up and thinking what just happened? I slept the whole night and got a 100 on the sleep score. The cool night worked well with the humidity setting of 4 but was too much for summer. Now I have 2 on the humidity in summer, but I definitely sleep better in winter with humidity at 4. sometimes it takes a little more work than some people are willing to try, i guess.
Same experience here. 4 is the sweet spot for winter... haven't found a good setting this summer... still dried out.

Give me some advice...

Using a DeVilbiss travel CPAP for the past 14 years (that's not a typo), since original diagnosis. Bare bones, basic device, because my insurance didn't cover it. It still works, but no bells and whistles or reports, and really only helps a bit. (I ain't doin' another sleep study. Torture.)

This is the first time I've _ever_ seen a CPAP come up on Slickdeals. I'm tempted. Thoughts???

I see people mentioning AirSense 10 having been much less in here a few months back. I'd sure rather pay $300 than $645 for a new one. Jump on this? Keep using the old dinosaur and wait?

I appreciate your help!
AirSense 11 changed my life and save my marriage, for real...

Every once in a while I forget to use it, and my teen daughter records my snoring and it looks like I am dying... It's weird cause I do not hear or feel a thing when I am snoring. I think I'm sleeping pretty good... but, my energy always sucks afterward.

With the AS-11 and AT-F20 mask, I know I am wearing the mask (leaks and adjustments)... so, I kinda feel like I am not sleeping, but the fact is that I have so much energy when I wake up... I also dont get up in the middle of the night to piss... I just sleep 6-7 hours straight. I cant really explain that.

My AirSense 11 water chamber closes fine, but it seems to require more effort than it should to open it.

Other than that, it seems to be a solid machine in the month+ I've been using it. Very quiet, though fans in my bedroom would drown out any noise it makes anyway.
yes, likely just a defective water chamber latch but I've seen others mention it. To be clear, I never had resmed 10, just two philips DS I and II . This AS 11 is pretty good to except for the chamber design, it probably registers my anger when I finally get it sealed.
- those airfit masks with nose pillows are the only thing I can tolerate.

what mask does everyone use? lol I like the Philips dreams are full face one, but just recently tried the nose only one and that's kinda nice too, just definitely comes off my face at some point during sleep

lol, my sleep doctor told me when you are sleeping soundly, you aren't producing the urine. I lol'd and said ok sure.

she was right, just like you, i don't get up to take a leak in the middle of the night. crazy.

I use and really like the F30i mask.

I also have videos of me snoring taken by my teen daughter in HD forever saved in the Apple cloud.

Ty's ma will try. The other question is that I recall that I couldn't change any settings on the CPAP myself. It always had to be done by my doctor and it was done over cellular connection, can I make those changes yourself or is it the same thing that you need a doctor had a prescription to change the settings?
I've got the Resmed 11, and it's locked down by default. There is a way to get in to the settings and you can change the min/max for it's auto setting. It would ramp up way to high and I couldn't sleep with it on. I keep it around 10-12 instead of 20 and my events per hr are still below 1. Everything seems to indicate that is great and I can sleep.

Yes, this is the latest and greatest model by Resmed. I have the previous model 10 and there are mixed reviews about this model 11. The 10 is a solid performer.
The ResMed 10 Model was a SOLID performer as you have mentioned.
There are plenty of data points indicating that it can easily exceed its 22,000 hour (7.5 years of use) motor life and go on for years.

The ResMed 11 Model, unfortunately, use the same motor as the ResMed AirMini AutoSet Travel CPAP (i.e. portable) CPAP...and thus why the motor does not put up as well as the ResMed 10.

If it was me, I would go with the ResMed 10 - as you know that thing was built solid and there really is nothing different between how the ResMed 10 and ResMed 11 treats Sleep Apnea. I think the only one small difference, is I believe the ResMed 11 automatically does what the ResMed 10 (For Her model) does in ramping up the pressure for those with smaller lung capacity.

ResMed is a solid company and luckily has not had the same issues Phillips has had, with their recall issues. There is nothing wrong with the ResMed 11 - it's just that the motor may not give 22,000+ hours like the ResMed 10 can easily do.

Then again, most who have these, get them replaced every 5 years by insurance (or if broken anyway)... It's those that have a CPAP for personal reasons (not paid for by insurance - such as Truck Drivers and Airline Pilots who have a host of other regulatory things to go through as a CPAP user) that have to worry about the longevity of the device.

You should look into the Bleep system - it's a GAME Changer as far as fit goes for those who prefer nasal pillows. ABSOLUTELY NO Air Leakage what so ever.

It takes some getting used to but once you do, you won't go back to nasal pillows.

Bonus if you buy a "hose buddy"/ hanger to go with it and the hose is above your face the entire night and moves with you no matter how you sleep....and it's all compatible with any type of hose, incl. heated.

Funny I've never seen a post on slickdeals for CPAP machines and suddenly I see this right after I get prescribed this exact machine. I haven't read through this whole thread, but it's been very interesting so far. I've read that the AirSense 11 is the best one on the market. I haven't found a mask yet that works really well with side sleeping but so far the one I use (the dreamwear) works really well for sleeping on my back. My wife says I completely stopped snoring. Also tried the P30i and it was way less comfortable and didn't seem any better for side sleeping. They said I have 30 days to request a different mask so I'm going to keep trying to different ones until I find one that works well for me.

I've had more problems with the 11 with rain out and drying me out even with automatic and manual settings than the 10. The 10 just seemed to perform a little better for me, also the water reservoir is bigger on 10 (will let you fill a bit more without overflow)
I gave up on CPAP thanks to rain out issues with this machine. Was extremely frustrating.

Does anyone who's had rain out issues with the ResMed 11 have success with a different machine? I should really give CPAP another go...

The rain out happens because the warm humidified air touches the colder wall of the CPAP tube and the water condenses out. Rain out can occur with any machine. The usual things we will do to try to mitigate rainout include
—Converting to heated tubing ie Climate Line tubing
—Purchasing a insulated sleeve for the tube
—Turning down the humidity setting
—Turning up the temperature in your bedroom. This is not ideal in the summer.
—Placing the CPAP machine at a lower level than your bed so the water flows downhill towards the machine

I have this unit, have been using it 3 months now. I couldn't get used to the nose mask (bad sinuses), so I switched to the full-face one. That one made me sweaty, but I got a full face one with foam on the part that touches your face, and that one is a lot better.

I did have some trouble with the water reservoir, and it took me weeks to get an appointment with a respiratory therapist, to get it replaced. Which risks getting my insurance to cover it (has to be used 4+ hours for 21 nights a month).

How well do these machines help you stay focused, alert and awake the next day after using them throughout the night

I don't use my AirSense 11's humidifier at all. I don't mind the drier air. (I did use distilled water when starting out with the machine, but stopped after my initial supply. I did experience mild rainout a few times but that was not why I stopped using distilled water.)

You can use the machine without water and not do anything special. You can go into the settings and turn off the humidifier's water warmer, but that is not strictly necessary other than to eliminate wear and tear. If the result is acceptable, you can purchase the AirSense 11 end cap / side cover for $15-20, which automatically deactivates the humidifier.
