Love the heated air tube on this one too. And the new mask design (full face mask with nasal pillow I think it's called?) with the tube on the crown of your head instead of in front of your face is the breast

Using a DeVilbiss travel CPAP for the past 14 years (that's not a typo), since original diagnosis. Bare bones, basic device, because my insurance didn't cover it. It still works, but no bells and whistles or reports, and really only helps a bit. (I ain't doin' another sleep study. Torture.)
This is the first time I've _ever_ seen a CPAP come up on Slickdeals. I'm tempted. Thoughts???
I see people mentioning AirSense 10 having been much less in here a few months back. I'd sure rather pay $300 than $645 for a new one. Jump on this? Keep using the old dinosaur and wait?
I appreciate your help!
Every once in a while I forget to use it, and my teen daughter records my snoring and it looks like I am dying... It's weird cause I do not hear or feel a thing when I am snoring. I think I'm sleeping pretty good... but, my energy always sucks afterward.
With the AS-11 and AT-F20 mask, I know I am wearing the mask (leaks and adjustments)... so, I kinda feel like I am not sleeping, but the fact is that I have so much energy when I wake up... I also dont get up in the middle of the night to piss... I just sleep 6-7 hours straight. I cant really explain that.
Other than that, it seems to be a solid machine in the month+ I've been using it. Very quiet, though fans in my bedroom would drown out any noise it makes anyway.
- those airfit masks with nose pillows are the only thing I can tolerate.

lol, my sleep doctor told me when you are sleeping soundly, you aren't producing the urine. I lol'd and said ok sure.
she was right, just like you, i don't get up to take a leak in the middle of the night. crazy.
I use and really like the F30i mask.
I also have videos of me snoring taken by my teen daughter in HD forever saved in the Apple cloud.
There are plenty of data points indicating that it can easily exceed its 22,000 hour (7.5 years of use) motor life and go on for years.
The ResMed 11 Model, unfortunately, use the same motor as the ResMed AirMini AutoSet Travel CPAP (i.e. portable) CPAP...and thus why the motor does not put up as well as the ResMed 10.
If it was me, I would go with the ResMed 10 - as you know that thing was built solid and there really is nothing different between how the ResMed 10 and ResMed 11 treats Sleep Apnea. I think the only one small difference, is I believe the ResMed 11 automatically does what the ResMed 10 (For Her model) does in ramping up the pressure for those with smaller lung capacity.
ResMed is a solid company and luckily has not had the same issues Phillips has had, with their recall issues. There is nothing wrong with the ResMed 11 - it's just that the motor may not give 22,000+ hours like the ResMed 10 can easily do.
Then again, most who have these, get them replaced every 5 years by insurance (or if broken anyway)... It's those that have a CPAP for personal reasons (not paid for by insurance - such as Truck Drivers and Airline Pilots who have a host of other regulatory things to go through as a CPAP user) that have to worry about the longevity of the device.

It takes some getting used to but once you do, you won't go back to nasal pillows.
Bonus if you buy a "hose buddy"/ hanger to go with it and the hose is above your face the entire night and moves with you no matter how you sleep....and it's all compatible with any type of hose, incl. heated.

Does anyone who's had rain out issues with the ResMed 11 have success with a different machine? I should really give CPAP another go...

—Converting to heated tubing ie Climate Line tubing
—Purchasing a insulated sleeve for the tube
—Turning down the humidity setting
—Turning up the temperature in your bedroom. This is not ideal in the summer.
—Placing the CPAP machine at a lower level than your bed so the water flows downhill towards the machine
I did have some trouble with the water reservoir, and it took me weeks to get an appointment with a respiratory therapist, to get it replaced. Which risks getting my insurance to cover it (has to be used 4+ hours for 21 nights a month).

You can use the machine without water and not do anything special. You can go into the settings and turn off the humidifier's water warmer, but that is not strictly necessary other than to eliminate wear and tear. If the result is acceptable, you can purchase the AirSense 11 end cap / side cover for $15-20, which automatically deactivates the humidifier.
