You do understand that they could use your " ID" for anything including selling it to other companies. They also could sell it to the hackers by blaming "data breach".

Do not buy anything from TbV, they lie about their promotions and their support organization is horrific. Truly a terrible, customer-hostile company.

Stylus only gets 1 OS upgrade and 3 Year Security while Samsung still offering 4 OS and 5 year Security Patches this will get up to Android 17.
For the price I can upgrade every year lol. Are you serious?

Plus moto phones get custom roms. Even my ancient z3 play is on A14. The A series phones are so sluggish! Will be a nightmare with future android versions.

Absolutely selling it. Wouldn't shock me if a data breach includes IDs in near future. Too much money sitting on the table.

I love tinkering, but if i have to do even half of that to make the phone usable, i'm throwing it away.
Didn't do any of this with my Moto Edge haha. Even have it at 120hz and get crazy battery life. My stylus didn't require insane tweaks for good battery either. S23U on the other hand...

Tracfone Moto doesn't allow bootloader unlock

I didn't have to do that, but it's going to be my main phone for years, so I choose to tweak it exactly how I want it.

It's worth a half hour for me not to pay hundreds of dollars more for a flagship phone (that I would probably do most of that stuff to anyway)

Most of those tweaks were for long term battery life, which is important on any phone you plan on keeping for a few years.

It's cheap enough that you can just get rid of it and buy a new phone in 3 years if the security updates are really important to you. I would rather do that than deal with the laggy mess that the A54 is for 5 more years! The Motorola also has 8GB RAM, has a much larger display (6.7" vs 6.4"), and is still lighter than the A54 by 12 grams.

Neither of these phones are my daily drivers as I still use my S22 Ultra 256GB for that, but even as a secondary "toy" device, the A54 was super annoying due to the stuttering.
something must be wrong with your A54. Mine has been a beast. Excellent camera too of which the Moto's always disappoint. Even Blu's best phones now surpass the Moto's except for the Edge.

I am buying the Moto Stylus 2024. Is it supposed to take a long time for identity verifications by Veriff? It has taken my photo ID front and back and my face? Any help appreciated.

Phone lags and stutters. Due to Samsung bloatware and double apps. Motorola stylus is better choice
lmao it has decent specs and they ruined it with their stupid os customization that no one asked for

I am typing this on my Moto Stylus 2024. I am blown away by just how smooth this phone is, and the OLED display has a "flicker free" setting that makes a huge difference when the brightness is turned down. Side by side compared to my S22 Ultra, the reduced eye strain is noticeable. I spent hours setting this phone as my wi-fi only device, basically has everything as my daily driver (S22U), minus the phone number.

Also, compared to my S22U, the Moto feels smoother. Not sure what they are doing, but the whole experience is so much better than the A54. I get it that you like your A54, and there is nothing wrong with that. Everyone has different perception when it comes to smoothness etc. Also, unlike me, not everyone has used both phones. All I have to say is that the Moto Stylus 2024 has really impressed me and gone much beyond what I expected in terms of the user experience, and the A54 disappointed me with its stutters and lag. The Moto has 8GB RAM, and I know that makes a difference.

Btw, I am a hardcore Samsung guy and have had Samsung phones since the TMobile Vibrant days. Had almost every version of the Note. So I am not basing the A54 just because I hate Samsung. In fact, I prefer the Samsung UI to the vanilla android experience. It's just that I am very sensitive to lag and stutters, and that is one area where the A54 really annoyed me. That's all.

He's not wrong, the stylus 5gb is crazy good as a free phone. I currently have a zflip5 as my daily driver and I use my old S22 ultra and a 2023 stylus 5g around the house and for light gaming.

The 2023 only has 6gb ram and an LCD, but it's still amazing how nice it is, how smooth the 120hz screen is and how well it holds up compared to my thousand dollar Samsung phones.

The main problem with the A54 isn't the Samsung software, it's the exynos chip. For whatever reason, that chip is super finicky and lags occasionally no matter what you do.

It's not bad, and I would happily use an A54 if I didn't have the stylus - but if I had to choose between the two I'd get a stylus 5g 2024. For high end phones that I plan to keep for 5 years or so I'd definitely choose Samsung over Motorola, no question.

But on phones in this category I'd probably choose the stylus if they were the same price.

Shouldn't take a few seconds-best way[start on laptop, desktop, verify on phone, back to desktop, laptop.

I was in on the previous deal. Sharing my experience.

Previous deal here: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/955695

- I'm not unlocked yet (service started 5/24) and have been using TBV service the whole time.
- Very happy with phone, but I'm a light user. I don't game or do other processor intensive activities. I only use 1-2gb data per month, since I'm mostly at home on Wi-Fi. I don't find it slow or laggy. faster than my old pixel 5a.
- Cellular service has been good. No issues.
- Tweaked out phone for performance and battery life, reducing performance, and it's still fast enough for me.
- You can get a second month of service cheaper if you buy a $25 plan from walmart.com. BUT don't buy until the last day or two of your initial plan, as it will cancel your remaining days (and give you a new 30). That plan also has only 1gb data, so you'll have to be data stingy for a month. You have been warned.
- If you search referral sites, you can get a code good for 5000 points, or a month of service. However, you won't get those points unless you are with TBV for 60 days. You could use them for a free third month of service.
