Not available in my zip code.

This is the same outfit that let me order a new one for $100 months ago (along with the $35 plan), and then sat on the order for weeks before saying they were sold out.

I see deals like this pop up occasionally and just want to make sure I am understanding things correctly. To take advantage of this deal, you would sign up for a new line with Straight Talk and get the phone for $74. You would have to have it active for one month, which would be $35. You would cancel before the month is over, so total out of pocket would be around $110-$120.

You would then have an unactivated phone that could be used on wifi (like a mini iPad). After 60 days, the phone would become unlocked so it could be used on another carrier? Am I missing any details here? For us, the use case would be to have an unactivated phone for our child to use (for things like FaceTime and YouTube) when connected to wifi.

Do you know if I need to do anything special to unlock it. I have waited 60 days and when I put a T-Mobile SIM it says invalid SIM
iPhones are supposed to unlock automatically, nothing you need to do.
Go to settings, general, about, carrier lock and will say "no sim restrictions" if unlocked.
Unlock should be approx 60 days from activation.
What does texting unlock date to 611611 say?

Thank you. When I text that number it says it will unlock on 10-29-2024.

I'm sending the phone overseas today do you think it will unlock there or does it need to be able to access their network.

Others have said just needs access to WiFi but I've only unlocked them in the US so can't verify.
I wouldn't be surprised to find it unlocking late tomorrow, my last 2 phones unlocked a day early.

As already posted never got resolution on 1 of 2 phones I ordered. The phone came with the sim tray sticking out and bent. Never able to activate it after spending hours with Straight Talk.

So everyone else knows, the warranty is useless. I fought Straight Talk for hours on the phone and via chat they just keep telling me if the phone I purchased is defective there is nothing they can do nor can they take it back. They will not warranty iPhones and it's in their policy.

I went to Apple and they sent it to a repair center and confirmed the sim slot is defective. They then asked for an original purchase receipt to repair/replace the device. I sent the Straight Talk receipt and they basically laughed in my face and sent the phone back.

I spent another few hours with Straight Talk yesterday only to be told there is absolutely nothing that can be done. They don't even have way to process a return. I got rather annoyed with them considering the box even has a 90 day refurbished sticker on it. They say all the boxes do but it's STRICTLY only for Android devices.

Did you check your spam folder? TW isn't known for fast shipping, I suggest waiting till Tues before getting concerned (they usually don't ship on weekends).BTW - brand new Straight Talk SE3's were only $49 plus 1 month plan at Walmart last holiday season, it's possible the same deal will show up again.
Same exact situation on my end with the guest account + PayPal (order placed yesterday) - did you eventually get the order confirmation email or any update with the order?

I just got around to messing with this phone and am now realizing they sent me an iPhone SE 2 model and not a 3. The info sheet sent with the device is Total by Verizon and has the correct SIM card number but wrong MEID. Was anyone else in a similar situation. I'll try and reach out to them today.

I just received the reconditioned phone. thing is when i look at under General>About>Sim Restrictions it says No sim restrictions. does this mean it's permanently unlocked or will it lock to the first sim i put in it?
I'm asking to check whether it's safe to directly put a mint sim without risk of them locking the phone (which they did to my previous free and clear unlocked iphone)? Or should i be activating the straighttalk sim and waiting for 60 days (ie whether the unlock status after 60 days will be a "better" unlock status than current out of the box?)
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light.

If phone says unlocked you are good to go. Since it was a refurb someone already unlocked and ST didn't reset it, it's happened before and you got lucky.
You will lose the plan if you don't activate on ST since phone is linked to sim - if that matters.

Has anybody had any issues unlocking? I purchased the phone with a 30day plan in September 2024. Activated the plan, wait 30 days until the service ended along with 60 days after service end. Phone isn't unlocked automatically. Called straight talk to unlock, manager on the phone says I need to have 60 days of service and not 30 days of service.

These guys are the worst if you have issues, they told me once it leaves the docks, not there issue and to take it up with USP where in my case the phone went missing at the processing center, more like an employee stole it.. So just be aware ST will wash there hands of it once it leave the docks and your SOL other then blocking the charge.. Just the worst CS I have dealt with in awhile all out sourced..

That makes no sense.
I've had 2 ST iPhones (& 2 androids) auto unlock in the past few months with only the original 30 day plan then letting phones sit for 30 days after service ends. Someone doesn't know what they're talking about. I'd contact them again and talk to a different rep.

Thank you for your response.
I've wasted enough of my time with this deal and straight talk customer service. I'll sort this out with my credit card company and get my money back.
