This is the same outfit that let me order a new one for $100 months ago (along with the $35 plan), and then sat on the order for weeks before saying they were sold out.
You would then have an unactivated phone that could be used on wifi (like a mini iPad). After 60 days, the phone would become unlocked so it could be used on another carrier? Am I missing any details here? For us, the use case would be to have an unactivated phone for our child to use (for things like FaceTime and YouTube) when connected to wifi.

Straight Talk 64GB Apple iPhone SE 3 of ebay never try to activate it. Didn't need it at the time.
So I'm way pass return window.
Recently I tried to activate it, called Straight Talk they said IMEI doesn't exist
in their data base they claim it's not Straight Talk(Trac phone) so they wouldn't
activate it. I know phone is locked to Straight Talk(Trac phone) verified by several
IMEI checkers and tested the phone with active Straight Talk sim card. So I contacted the seller( innovee.tech ),
he told me phone needs to rescanned in walmart system. I guess phone was originally purchased in Walmart or
seller is sourcing some of his phones from walmart. Seller told me he would resubmit it in walmart but never
heard from him again. I tried to contact him several times no answer. I was wandering is there any solution for
this situation. Would like to activate the phone with Straight Talk and eventually would get unlocked per their 60 day policy.
Would greatly appreciate any input/advice.
Thank you

Edit: Ended up having to create a new account not the one used to place the order.
After I got the reconditioned SE3, before activating it, found that the battery was fully discharged. I figured it had been on the shelf too tong, charged it back up to 100%, disconnected cable and turned the phone off. I expected a slow drain on the battery, but in a week the battery was at Zero when I turned the phone back on. I contacted ST to ask them to let me return the phone or get a battery replacement, and they said that I should go to the Apple Store (ha, that'll be silly given I bought it used and the Apple warranty is expired), or contact Apple since ST cannot accept a iPhone back. They said they will not honor that box's 90 day warranty on an iPhone, but had this been an Android they could.
A different CSR on chat mentioned that I can return a phone within 30 days from order delivery, but shipping would be at my expense.

These phones are a total gamble. People told me to do a charge back I have a huge Verizon account I am not risking pissing off VZ. I filed a Paypal case and called and they basically said Straight Talk said no warranty no pictures, evidence, or stickers on the box change that.
EDIT: Oh and at best you will get 70 bucks back they will not in any way shape or form refund for the minutes. They confirmed the plan was never used due to the phone being defective but it's their rule all plan sales are final. Was told to buy another phone before the plan expired and they could transfer the plan to the new phone.

I've never used eSIM myself, but... If the physical sim slot is not working, could ST help you activate at least the eSIM slot so you could have service on it?
