Beat me to posting this! I was hoping the 8/128 version would go back down to $209.99 for prime day (which has been on the frontpage a few times), so this was an extra-pleasant surprise. Pulled the trigger and bought one -- the almost-free Fire 8 I got many prime days ago can finally be relegated to a "questionable browsing only" role.

I wish it would work with Samsung S-pen, as my daughter needed it for note writing in college.

How are these for kids for Roblox?

I need to decide between this and the Fire Max 11.

Edit: Just went with the Fire Max 11 since they already have older Amazon tablets.

That one seems to only have 4GB RAM. Is that still usable nowadays?
