This is what i do most of the time also. And i do have stands too but rarely use it. Unless ill be cutting for sometime like crowns and baseboards for a whole house then ill just leave the saw on the stand and set it aside when calling the day.

Isn't SKIL brand the same level as Walmart Brand?
Skil is a subbrand of Skillsaw technically, Skilsaw makes the heavy duty tools, while skil is geared more toward a general audience. Skil makes high quality home DIY to Semi-Pro tools. Honestly Hart doesnt make too bad of a tool 2024 either. Remember Hart is owned by the same company that owns Milwaukee, Rigid, & Ryobi. Their brushless tools are fairly competent for the price but Hart is just geared toward the budget home DIY'er.

Overall in terms of Quality and performance Skil does make far more capable and powerful tools than Hart. All of Skil's powertools seem to benchmark well above their price in performance metrics

Click to view all sellers and choose one you recognize… like Walmart or Acme Tools. Or find a Menards if you have them in your area and buy it there. If you're just wanting it because it's on sale and don't need it ASAP, wait until one of those reputable sellers has it on sale again.
