I just got one 220w bifacial foldable solar panel as part of bundle product from EcoFlow, they feel so fragile. In the process of adjusting the angle so to get full Sun direct light, it cracks!!! I couldn't tell if there was crack already when arrived or it cracks when adjusting! But it's so fragile and delicate! Can't believe this product is built to withstand outdoor environment!? Anyone who owns it please share!!! But Be aware!!! FYI , The one I got is using kickstand on the back to adjust the angle. I assume it's the latest design.also, when it is took out from package box for the first time, unfold and lay on the floor, it doesn't lay flat. It feels rigid.

How Can I link this with my 110 watt eco flow panel into one battery?

This is my second week trying to learn about this - and I get most of my education for most things from SD…. Smilie

I ordered a 160 Watt refurbished Ecoflow panel from ebay a couple of days ago. It was $145 with the coupon. The picture showed the old style with the case being the stand.

It got delivered a few minutes ago. I was surprised to see the box. It showed the newer style with the metal kickstand. I couldn't believe it. i opened it up and sure enough it's the new style. Nothing on the box says Nextgen but it does say "25% high conversion rate".

How would we even take advantage of the bi facial? I personally need the ease of setup with the kickstand. 6 lbs heavier.

A kickstand with the panel directly on the ground is a poor use of such tech.

A little off topic, but this is my reference thread as I learn here .. thanks everyone..

I just ordered a 50' extension so I could put the panel outside while the battery is inside.

I'm guessing the more the extension, the greater the loss/waste of energy? Is there a rule of thumb on this?

Thanks. Smilie

Newer is higher wattage on the back panel, built in alignment tool, lighter weight (thinner glass), and a kickstand design that most people prefer. Older is a different form factor, thicker glass, and the case is the stand (some people prefer these things)
The newer one is not bifacial (so from my understanding there is no back panel) and has a longer charge times (5.8hr vs 4.5hr for the Delta 2) so i'm not seeing the advantages other than the alignment tool, lighter weight and better kickstand design? Am I missing something?

The newer (NextGen) model in this deal is not bifacial, even though many people keep assuming that. But EcoFlow does make a bifacial NextGen model not currently available on Amazon that was on sale, last I checked yesterday, for $369 on EcoFlow's website.

I would assume that the bifacial NextGen model is superior to the older bifacial and this new non-bifacial panel. As far as the two available on Amazon, the older bifacial is probably better for energy, but the newer tech in the NextGen model could negate some of that. In the end, a lot comes down to the form factor and some of the other benefits (e.g. built-in solar alignment gauge, etc.). And since the older bifacial is ~$100 more on Amazon, is that extra cost worth it?

I've had the same experience with my new 220w bifacial and the last gen. Cracked on first setup. Not sure if it affects the efficiency or power output but it's definitely super super fragile

Thanks for the tip! I ordered that one and indeed it came as the Nextgen version with 25% conversion rate and the metal kickstand! Looks exactly like https://us.ecoflow.com/collection...olar-panel. Pretty good deal for $145.

where do you usually use it? In camping? Or other? It seems easy to take.

I'm doing the same. I'm on 50 feet and I plan on doing it over 100 ft in a future additional setup. I forget the link but even at 100 ft the loss is negligible.

All solar panels provide DC power.

This is what I need to know as well.

Will this panel charge other powerstations that are not ecoflow?

Yes, the connector is a standard and universal one, and there is nothing special about the panels that would make them unique to EcoFlow.

Returning the 160W I just bought for $30 less, $9 return shipping fee but still worth it.
I bought 160W a few weeks ago too and this one went on sale I was mad how prices are fluctuating on this stuff so rapidly. It didn't occur to me that I could return it, but I just right right now. I chose "defective not working" and didn't need to pay a fee... the panel did seem a bit flimsy when I tested it out so I noted it "had cracks".

Hmm... UPS is still waiting for the package so amazon will refund. Anyone get to try out the solar panel yet? If so, how are you guys liking it?
