These are the paddles you let your friends who are new to pickleball ... borrow, knowing they may never be returned.

True, but someone who is new should play with garbage paddles at least a few times before committing $100. Maybe even try a nice paddle of a friend for a few games.

A beginner what have any idea what a drop, spin, touch, reset etc mean.

I just walked by my local handball courts. They were all converted to pickleball.
Thought hand ball was played on racquetball like courts, indoor and on a wall in front of you?

You should go with the carbon fiber for $1,000. The only thing better than carbon fiber paddles are diamond-entrusted balls for $10,000.
Sure...will drive in my Bently to buy them tomorrow!

I never had any luck collecting freebies from T mobile store. They never had any supplies left. Always out of stock !!!

Never got anything..store always said they're out
The trick is to get there when they open. They cannot use the excuse "out of stock" when they first open. Outright fraud otherwise.

Who plays pickleball? Is this sport for little people?
I work in a cardiac hospital, and all of my patients are generally older. Pickleball has been the biggest upcoming sport for awhile now - less impact on the knees, haha

This one has gotten good reviews from people, it's comparable to $200 name brand paddles.

Serious question. How do you know how good these knockoff brands are besides trusting the description and marketing material? And even then, its not I am willing to peel off the surface to check if the insides are as described.

Dumb question ? Still asking:
Is it possible to buy if the person is not physically present. The person who has the phone with T-Mobile app cannot accompany me to the store… so asking !!!

Can I buy it without physically being in the store… I mean, by remotely redeeming it and another person can collect it on my behalf… is that allowed ?

Usually, by hitting a few balls you will start to see the honeycomb imprint on the paddle face. So you can be sure it has a honeycomb core without opening it. As far as a raw carbon face? That's just buying carbon and gluing it on. Marginally more expensive than fiberglass, but commands a decent price. I would say they probably use real carbon.

I own some dirt cheap, beginner, similar Juciao, and top end paddles. For competitive play, there is a notable difference between the tiers. For recreation? Just get something cheap and relatively lightweight and have fun with it.

Pretty spot-on assessment for where I live.

Man, everyone is giving away pickle ball paddles nowadays. Just saw that the Mets are giving out pickle ball paddles next week. I guess I'll go get another free set tomorrow.
