Walmart sells Great Value reduced sugar dried cranberries [walmart.com] too, which are also available at a better price, as usual.
You can get unsweetened ones from a few boutique brands:

I'm guessing the sugar is added either as a preservative or because it sells better with it than without.

The "reduced" sugar (like the Walmart brand, which are pretty good), are 14g (12g added).
There are some boutique no-sugar-added brands (someone linked earlier), but they are $10.50 and $19 for 3 ounces, while this is $5.35 for 3 pounds. In other words, $6.33 vs. $0.11 per ounce, or over 50x the price to NOT have a ton of sugar added.
