I'm not certain that information is published publicly, selling ROMs IS illegal after all. 😉

Better off adding your own game roms so you have a single handheld to play copies of all the games you own 😉

it is made for millennials who remember playing NES to Playstation 1 games, can do some Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast games but not all

pretty much fun retro stuff from 1980s to 1996 to 2000 roughly for the "big consoles", and lots of those game boy and game boy advance games. Fabulous games for a 10 year old like the Pokémon addiction.

But it is no Nintendo Switch

That last statement is kind of false in that anything with a wide screen format is better on TSP, including psp, Dreamcast with wide screen hack, and even GBA which is wider than 4:3 SNES and the alike. GBA and PSP on TSP is quite amazing. I have the PSP ips and 3k and the vita and TSP crushes all of them in terms of visual clarity. It is a bit choppy here and there on some games, though, but wow, I'm amazed by the screen on TSP.
Trimui smart pro is mediocre at best.

I don't know that the TrimUI Smart Pro is actually anymore powerful, at least not to a significant degree. The more important factor is the Anbernic devices are 4:3 and TSP is 16:9. If you are primarily going to be playing older retro games that use 4:3, the RG35XX H is probably the ideal device. If you are going to be playing widescreen 16:9 games, then TSP is great. These devices aren't capable of running too many PSP games, so for wide screen you'd probably be looking at GBA.

In this price range, you are basically only looking at Linux devices that will run games through roughly N64/Dreamcast power (skip Saturn). Not every game will work flawlessly as those systems push the limits. Some PSP games will not work.

If you want more powerful, you're pretty much looking at double the price or more, and getting into mostly Android devices.

If you want gamecube at an affordable price, just buy a used phone or one of those free phone promos that are always running and buy a telescopic controller. BSP D3 if you want something cheap, BSP D8 or the base gamesir x2s if you want something a bit more expensive.
I been happy with my BSP D8 so far, this bluetooth controller with hal joystick (no switch drift) set me back $30 with 2 week shipping. That was 5 months ago when it was new. Costs more due to mark up if one wants 2 day shipping.

So GameCube games are playable? I've tried those mini consoles hack, rpi3b+, moyoo mini plus and they'd do only well with up to 16 bit. The only one that did well with GameCube was nvidia shield for me

the cpu and the ram is the same with

the rg35xx h, the horizontal
the rg35xx plus (but not the older rg35xx which uses a different chip, so successful they kept the name and updated the internals, the updated internals are now what many of their new and cheap consoles are based off of)
the rg35xx 2024 edition
the rg35xx sp aka a clamshell edition
the rg28xx aka 2.8" screen
the rg40xx aka 4.0" screen

and likely more that I am not remembering off hand. All are using the h700 platform with 4 cortex a53 1.5 ghz cores and 1gb ram

and then the same company has faster silicon versions with things like Unisoc T820 processor, 6nm EUV 5G SOC chip 8 cores 1*[email protected]+3*[email protected]+4*[email protected] but these faster things are in the 100 plus to 250 dollar range (I have not tracked how cheap they have gotten so when I say 100 plus I am saying it was not impulse range so I have not followed it. I am not saying this is the cheapest it ever been has been close to 100)
I got the 35XX-H when it was $35.00 . I stand by my choice.

Despite the smaller screen and smaller battery, is this better than x55 in performance?
Nvmd. both chips are basically the same, but would still trust anbernic over powkiddy

Oh shit that's a pretty good deal tbh, but for those on the fence:
Be aware that it share the same analog stick issues that the RG Cube has, and cannot play gamecube games like it can despite looking very similar.

Hmm, did not know this (actually never even really thought about it even though it makes perfect sense). What software would you use to run the roms? Im assuming that an older Galaxy Note20 would easily play NES/SNES/PS games right? Any recommendations on emulators???
