The BQ is solid for the crazy light weight, the screen is fantastic, and the fan and heat are pretty minor issues when the laptop is unplugged. The fan goes a bit more plugged, but that can also be tweaked in fan settings.
The ONE thing I don't like is the low-travel keyboard. The LG had much better tactile feedback but this Acer has a nice MacBook style layout omitting the number pad.
It's been a fantastic device for me. As someone who has owned and loved many LG Grams, it's crazy how well this competes at such low prices.

Both are good at these prices, but the Intel system was the better buy.

(1) Laptop started booting with blue screen stop codes right after the 30 day mark
(2) Acer will repair it during the first year, but you have to pay shipping and package it up on your own. If you are thinking about buying this for a college student going away, this is problematic.
(3) 1 year and 6 months later, blue screen errors started again. We tried to make a claim but Allstate said the plan was closed. Further investigation suggested that I closed the plan. I requested an investigation (why would I close a free plan? lol lol lol). Ebay took no responsibility. In a week or so, the plan mysteriously showed up on the account....of course it did.
(4) Taking advantage of the plan, I sent the laptop in for repair.
The good: The front corner had hooked on to something (like the wire on a notebook in the school bag) and cracked off (a 1inch wide piece). Not an issue in the return. I thought it would have disqualified a repair.
The bad: a few of the keys were super lose and falling off while i was on the phone with customer service. Initially they denied the claim for the keys for no reason, but they did back down. The first time, it took 18-20 days to return to me and they only reloaded the O/S....on first bootup after repair, I received the same blue screen errors. Sent it back. Arrived back for the second time of repairs (again just an OS reinstall and they check the connections). On first bootup, back-to-back blue screen stop codes. tts going back again for a 3rd time for repair. I think its a hardware issue and its too cost prohibitive for them to replace the motherboard. I'll keep playing the game until they give me my money back.
