I have an Aprilaire 2025 and I'm wondering if this fits it. Filter should be the same size, but Aprilaire uses these proprietary (expensive) filters, so I'm thinking it may not fit.

Yeah these thick bois aren't nearly as standardized as you would hope. You need to find out who made the filter holder or measure a used one or something and check as the 4 and 5" ones vary by 1/4" either way in thickness depending on manufacturer. I think the other two dimensions are fairly similar but thickness varies a lot. Both furnaces I have to take care of have this issue.

Probably not, your filter is 4.05 thick vs this at 4.3.

The higher the MERV the more stress you put on your HVAC system. Get an air purifier instead

correct! my hvac guy even said cheaper the better, just replace the first of each month and buy merv 4 or lower!

This! I was going to say the same thing. I had to do that before when I bought "cheaper" filters on the internet. Went back to my regular filter after I used up that brand.

For me, there's still a 'Used - Like New' being sold by Amazon Resale for this price of $22.38 per 2 pack. you have to select used options to see this. I took the plunge and got a pack. We will see
