I have a Sonos Arc, sub, Move, One, and 4 Sonos speakers from IKEA… not sure I'd invest in Sonos right now.

All the above steps are official troubleshooting, which indicates Bose agrees there are issues and hasn't fixed them in so many years. I'm terrified to recommend their Soundbars to anyone now as they failed to fix these in the latest models and are still selling them with potential connectivity issues.
I was skeptical about soundbars initially until I stumbled upon a Samsung 930B (9.1.4) soundbar open box in Best Buy for $460 (after tax) and hooked it up to a Samsung S95B QD-OLED and was blown away. My living room has high ceilings and the atmos effects fill the whole room. I could never increase the volume beyond 40 (out of 100 level) as it rocks the whole house and my wife never lets me go above 20! lol
FWIW, I have been using Samsung S930B for almost two years now and NEVER had a single disconnect issue.
Having said that, I would highly recommend Samsung 990C for $680 + tax if you can get the EDU deal over this highly priced BOSE system, which has connectivity issues as well!
Having said that, you can get so much more bang for the buck than this, by building it out yourself.

These two items together will blow you away, and you'll still have enough cash left over for a great denon receiver, capable of atmos, vrr and 4k120hz gaming.

Buying this Bose setup, even at the sale price, is absurd.

The sub, I actually had that same one in the cart and after reading reviews, I decided against it. You're paying a bit of a premium for the wireless feature, and reviews are mixed on how well that even works. So I would recommend just getting a little better, non wireless sub.
The receiver looks good, but I don't like how it's capped at 4k60hz when most TVs now are capable of 4k120hz. That may never be a feature you use, but it would be disappointing to have to upgrade your receiver down the line, should you find yourself wanting to enjoy 120hz

I actually bought and returned the Bose system due to the same exact issue. Was quite disappointing and quite a hassle to pack everything and return.
I have the Q990C as well. It may be the unpopular opinion, but I will say that the Bose system (when it worked) felt wayyy better on sound clarity and balance. In comparison, the Q990C has clarity but does go haywire on sound balance every once in a while. It's a personal opinion so your choice may vary. Having owned both for a brief period, this is my view.
The AI voice feature seems to work well, I never have to struggle to hear voices like an LG soundbar I have in another room.
Surround on the 700s is a little weak, but they are sleek speakers that take up almost no room (which my wife was happy about).
It replaced an older Bose Lifestyle soundbar, so it's hard to compare to others.
Another trick, which I never got around to trying personally, is to place a cloth (napkin) over the surrounds and run adaptiq. Apparently has the same outcome.

I ended up keeping the sonos and returning the Bose 700 back to Costco.
What I like about the sonos is the bass is more natural sounding VS the Bose which is just boomy. I also found the sonos arc diagolues are more clear than Bose 700.
Both are excellent entry level systems but imo, Sonos arc is one step higher especially with the phone app that modulates the speakers based on your room and placement of speakers.
