Just to add a bit of context to the product - these are the "Pro Endurance" models, which are designed for constant recording/looping, stuff like dashcams or CCTV that record things constantly.

Pro Endurance are typically the recommended model for dashcams - definitely worth the $15 here over using the free 64GB cards included with dashcams or the non-endurance ones, especially if you're not regularly checking your dashcam to make sure everything is working properly.



Bought this same card a few weeks back ($15.99 on prime day), so it's not a huge discount over their normal pricing, but the card has been solid so far and a good piece-of-mind investment

These have been great in my outdoor Kasa cams. I think the fl heat was killing the regular ones. No problems since I changed to these endurance ones. Been wanting a few more but prices haven't been good. Ty op! 🙂👍

FYI for some reason Viofo does not recommend these cards for their dashcams. Idk if they're trying to push their cards or if they tend to fail with Viofo cams.

Sandisk has WD style marketing. They have a High Endurance and a Max Endurance, whereas Samsung only has one type of Endurance card. Sandisk's High Endurance is the one for that price and is rated for far fewer write cycles than Samsung, especially at 64GB

I haven't had any issues using regular microSD cards in Viofo cams. But I know that these cards have a limited lifespan in this application and it doesn't take me more than a few seconds to swap them. Their advice may be targeted towards people who get their cameras professionally installed and don't know how to swap microSD cards themselves. Overall, it's a poorly written recommendation. They don't provide any technical details behind their recommendation.

Update: I see that there's a big difference in TBW between different cards. It'd be good to see this info as a part of the specs so you know what you're buying. Samsung appears to be near the top based on this: https://www.reddit.com/r/raspberr...ompared_w/
