You can activate phone #1 to have the bundled 1-yr and units loaded to it. Then activate phone #2 WITH A TRANSFER from phone #1; service on phone #1 (phone number, 1-yr, units) get transferred to phone #2, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #2 get added on top, giving phone #2 two years of service and 2x the units.

If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.

Folks, just so you're aware...

The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.

It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.

No need to be insulted - for many people (for example, those who use less than 4 minutes of phone talk per day) paying $2 (and sometimes less) per month for a phone service which includes a new smartphone every year is a very good deal.

I just got a notification of deduction 10.72 and same amount deducted last time when I purchased, what I did wrong any idea? They should charged 50 something instead of monthly?
You probably didn't change the default '5 Easy Pays' to 1 payment...

My kid is using this plan and he used all the 1500 text in several months.
What's the best way to refill and what's the cost? Thanks

Go to TF website, easy to purchase more texts.
(Can also do it from app on phone).

For me in NY, after taxes and fees, the $5 1000 text card costs $9.85 on the Tracfone website. You can buy this card [walmart.com] at Walmart for $5 plus state tax.

Thanks for the info.
BTW, since the plan is for one year, is there anyway to extend that after a year?

why am I charged 5.50 for shipping and handling ?
It seems they don't offer it anymore. This post mentioned $30 off and free shipping but that promo code is done. Now it's just $20 off and no free shipping. It's still a banging deal.

The cheapest way is to buy another cheap phone with a plan. Or buy this card [ebay.com] for $60. Or get this one [hsn.com]and your kid won't have to worry about using up texts. That is the real bargain, especially when there is a $30 new user code.

A friend of mine that uses TF for their phone service was about to add a $125 airtime card to her phone that is due next month. After seeing this deal with 2 new phones AND airtime included, I suggested she get this deal instead. It is less money for her to do this than to add a new airtime card. She rarely uses a cellphone,so this is a great deal or people like her. Her current yearly plan(which is about to expire)has 1000 minutes or more left on it. Although she will likely never use it, I would like to try to have these minutes roll over to the new phone. Thank you Slickdeals and to all the helpful posters!

You get 2 phones. Your options: 1) Activate phone #1 with a new number then activate phone #2 by transferring the service from #1. The service will combine so you'll have 2 years of service and 3,000 TTD on phone #2. Phone #1 will be deactivated. 2) Activate phone #1 with a new number then activate phone #2 with a new number too. You'll have 2 active lines and each has 1 year of service and 1,500 TTD.
Are you guys stacking the 1 year plans using different email accounts in each phone or the same tracfone account? Does it matter? Thanks.

To stack the plans (option 1), you can only do it in the same TF account.

Is there anyway to block incoming texts since I am getting charged for spam text to the previous owner?
