You can activate phone #1 to have the bundled 1-yr and units loaded to it. Then activate phone #2 WITH A TRANSFER from phone #1; service on phone #1 (phone number, 1-yr, units) get transferred to phone #2, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #2 get added on top, giving phone #2 two years of service and 2x the units.

If you're currently using a phone on TF, your can activate phone #1 WITH A TRANFER from your current phone to have your current phone number, days, units transferred to phone #1, then the bundled 1-yr and units for phone #1 get added on top. Then activate phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. After that, if you prefer to use your current phone, re-activate your current phone with a transfer from phone #2. Smart existing TF users do that all the time to "harvest" cheap service days and units from those HSN/QVC bundles.

Folks, just so you're aware...

The service plan is 1500 text, 1500 minutes, 1.5gb data -- for the *entire year*. Not per month. That's about 4 minutes of talk time per day.

It's an extremely minimal and restrictive cellular plan, one that you could even call insultingly low - especially if you're used to cellular plans in modernized nations (aka, ones outside the the USA). It's not for everyone, and make sure it fits your use case.

No need to be insulted - for many people (for example, those who use less than 4 minutes of phone talk per day) paying $2 (and sometimes less) per month for a phone service which includes a new smartphone every year is a very good deal.

No, that code expired 2 weeks ago. The new code is "HELLO20" for $20 off $40+ orders.

I tried this for a friend of mine. She is a Tracfone user. I transferred the 1500 minutes from phone #1 yesterday. It went very smoothly, the minutes, text, data, renewal date all were added to her current plan.

Today I call to have that transferred to phone number 2. Her minutes, data, text, renewal date remained exactly the same as yesterday. I'm not sure why. I will call them in a day or two to see if they can do anything about it. The Tracfone rep said that it would work. He mentioned something about maybe their system just hasn't updated it yet.

Sometimes there's a delay in the balances getting updated, but the serivce end date is usually extended by 1-yr right away. Did you see any changes in the service end date?

Hope her TTD got updated soon.
I'd avoid talking to TF reps if possible, as they can mess up even the simplest task! Service transfer like this really is one of the tasks you can easily DIY [reddit.com] without talking to a rep.

First off, thank you for the reply.

After transferring her current plan to phone # 1, her service end date updated to October 2025. This was done yesterday.

Today, After transferring the service from phone #1 to phone #2, nothing was updated,(minutes, service end date, etc, etc)

Yeah, maybe I should have tried it myself. Some of their reps seem pretty knowledgeable and others seem clueless.

Maybe give it 24 hrs. Then contact TF CS if it still doesn't get updated.

I got shipping confirmation today lets see how these budget phones perform i had a galaxy a03s for last year. I got it unlocked and sold it for 75.00 on craigslist. I only paid 52 for it with 1 year service and 1500 minutes. Now i only have my magicjack which is what i use most but its nice to have a cheap cellphone as backup. I mostly do everything via wifi so cell is not really needed.

In terms of performance, screen quality, capacity, the ranking for Moto G models of the same year typically goes like this: G Play, G 5G, G 5G Power, G 5 G Stylus.

No, but it should be a dependable, solid phone. I'm still using my 2021 G Play. Doesn't compare to my 2022 or 2023 Stylus. But it's fine for basic use, better than the G Pure or A03s. Comes with less RAM, storage than the Stylus.
The Play is not 5G nor has NFC either so just be aware if that's important to you. I guess it's more suitable for a kid or senior. Non-gaming performance should be satisfactory. Don't expect much of the camera, it's standard G-series mediocre quality. I've been tempted to get one for myself but I have too many already and can't rationalize my way to press Submit, yet.
