Nope. I ported multiple. Just open Google voice number and unlock for $3. Then create voice main pin and that's it. Provide those to total by Verizon when you want to transfer

This will most likely go down to $100 in a couple of months based on previous Razr series.

60 day date was 10/6. Phone shows as unlocked today.
Have it in a case, so I know I need to be careful, but like the phone and willing to take the no warranty risk.
Now to figure out cheapest plan...

That's disappointing. The 2024 Straight Talk Motorola G Power and 2024 Tracfone Moto G Play only show the standard Moto boot screen. Was hoping the TF brands were all getting rid of it.
Would a reset without the sim card help? Or is it burned in.

Wait a minute. Just checked mine and I only have the moto razr splash screen.

Guess someone posted false information again -
seems to be a lot of that in the Total/Tracfone/Straight Talk threads

They have this in-store on Boost mobile to upgrade for $199+tax+$35 activation fee. They denied me because of my plan (an older 12-montg promo plan) So I decided to pull the trigger for this one and wait the 60 days. Total came up to $267.93 +$3 for the GV number, around the same total they quoted me at the Boost Store. See you in 60 days 😆

"Perfect" as long as you don't give af about not having a manufacturer's warranty once you swap out to your other carrier.

The hinge and folding design of the screen are highly prone to failure over time. This isn't a Razr specific issue tho. Samsung Flip6 have exact same issues
Yeah, definitely not the phone for anyone who drops a lot, goes to the beach, or is a heavy user. I don't expect it to last more than a few years, and I'm OK with that.

With that said, I've had this phone a few months and it has become my daily driver. So nice to be able to keep the phone in my front pocket, and not even have to even open it for many of the apps I use.

do you think this will be a good trade in phone for a later promotion? or are just ebay after it unlocks
So if I understand this correctly, you use your original number to get the GV number abd then port out the GV number ? Son your original number will stay with the current provider and the GV number will now be Verizon number. Is this correct?

Your own number is not involved except to verify . Just go to voice.google.com, sign in and get a number. Once you have a number, go to settings, then voicemail to set a port out pin. Your account number is the 10 digit phone number.
