I prefer this pump m18. You also don't have to be holding it. You can leave and have it drain out by itself. Unlike the stick, you have to hold it and wait the whole time unless you want to risk it falling inside the water while it's unattended.

That's true. Or have it deliver to your house. I order it and contact customer support and they cancel the battery with out no problems nor any questions were asked.

I bought this a while ago because I have a red addiction. Used it to drain the kids pool inflatables quickly. Great tool but probably not worth it for me. Things a great price though

I currently have the ryobi dual power transfer pump. Anybody used both and be able to tell if it is worth the "upgrade"? This one is battery power only while the ryobi one is dual power.

Just did it ordered in 2 different locations. And just pick up the one you want. They will refund you for item not picked up at hacked price.

As general pool owner advice: Use a siphon. It's free. Best way to remove nasty stuff from your pool without it needing to go through your pool pump. They may leave it to the location's discretion, to a degree. They have a policy, but if they can demonstrate store(s) are losing a significant portion of revenue (a form of inventory 'shrink' or avoidable losses) sending stuff back and forth as people 'take advantage of the system', or someone is doing it excessively... it's hard to argue they shouldn't consider shutting it down in one way or another. I definitely spend more @ Home Depot overall because it is possible (and it's not all low-margin Milwaukee deals), they're coming out ahead for sure. Profit margin on MSRP is pretty significant, I'm not sorry I bite occasionally.

Gravity draining a water heater can take hours. This can do it in 10 minutes or so.

The stick can be hacked for $104 right now. It's 9gpm vs 8gpm for this one, interesting. It looks like the inlet isn't removable? That's a bummer.
