I'd get it. But my local HD won't let me return batteries that aren't included in kit... The manager said it's "taking advantage of HD"
He is correct (manager)

I don't understand, why not just use the drain on the water heater? What am I missing? 🤔
Nothing…it just sounds like an idea cause plumber charges by the hour

Power goes out, sump pump fills up, you fire this up to move the water out of the sump tank. Pretty useful!!

Have the battery pickup at a different store and get the pump at your normal store. After you pickup the pump, call the other store and cancel the battery

Time is money...an hour plus vs 10 mins. Ppl don't want to pay a plumber 200 an hr to stand around

I've never been able to figure out how to do this. It seems to make me select the same location.

What can you use this for in reference to DIY?
This tool can be very useful if you have water in one place that you want transferred to another place, and desire to do it yourself.

Anyone ever tested the psi this thing can put out? Wondering if it can be used to increase pressure on my hose to reach peaks of my house. 8gpm is plenty flow, but would need to be 70psi or higher

Check out keywords on HD reviews ("psi"). I thought someone mentioned 16psi or 20 psi.
Of course this depends on the system, but 20 vs 70 psi seems to be a big gap

Stalk SD for milwaukee deals and you'll find battery hacks and sales that work out to about $10-11 per amp hour

FYI: At full operating capacity, 1AH = 5-7min use*

*Specific gravity dependent

I am planning to use it to cycle water slide water from the "pool" section to the "slide" section - so the water stays warm for the slide. That is how they do it in water parks. Wonder if I can run an instant water heater in between. I have an immersion transfer pump which goes inside the pool but that is an electric shock danger.
usually these arent meant to run that long ... just get a cheap 1 1/2hp pump from amazon

Honestly it can be used for a ton of things, but I'm a fan of cheap plug in transfer pumps since every application I've used one for I had electricity available.

Last thing I used one for was cleaning a hot water on demand system which needs to be done once a year or so
