Tbh the pro deal of the week 2x xc5.0 charger and ratchet kit for 199 is probably a better value even if you sell the batteries the 5.0s sell for a lot.

if i had to select between this ratchet and the fuel surge wrench, which is more useful for home use? i never felt the need for a wrench as impact (with socket adapters) has been enough, but on SD we buy stuff for doomsday..

My take is that this tool is best for spinning on and off bolts that are either tough to reach or just have a lot of threads to engage. It does great in automotive and industrial applications where you loosen something and then just need to turn a manual ratchet 50+ times to get it out. Secondarily, it's very nice in tight spaces where you can only get a few degrees of turn on a bolt. It is not, and should not be used as, a high power tool. Indeed the M12 high speed ratchet is geared for less torque and more speed and is arguably the most useful variant of this tool.
In short, buy this to reduce the amount of manual ratchet wrenching you have to do.

I've never had trouble doing the hack until last week. I tried to return the tool only, and they had issues doing the return. The finally got an error that told them I had to return the tool and battery at the same time. This was for ship to home and then return in store.

Agree. I have the husky with internal battery from HD and this one. I notice no difference at all between them and will use whatever my hand grabs first or both at same time...
