3 cents total savings, but hey the only argument now is it worth having the extra 50 mAh with the high capacity ones, or 500 more charge cycles with the regular ones...
If I get 24 batteries now at 5% off I definitely won't be getting a scheduled delivery at 15% again. So, practically I'm not able to get 15% off. Wondering if I'm doing anything wrong in the way I'm checking out.
Take a good battery and have the negative sides touch each other. Then grab a pair of tongs and touch both positive sides. Most of the time, this will charge the dead battery just enough to accept a charge from the charger.
Usually I will have to do a full charge then discharge and full charge again to get the capacity back up. Once in a while, the battery wouldn't hold enough juice and I'd have to recycle it, but most of the time, this method will save my battery. Hope this helps some people.

They are a lot more expensive, but I've only had to recharge them once since January when I would have had to do it 2 or 3 times with regular ones.

There is no question Ikea ones are better in quality, but they are more than 3 times the cost.. Depending on whether you get the regular or higher capacity ones from this deal, Ikea ones are 3.1 time to 3.6 times this deal. And so the Ikea batteries would need to last 4 times more to make them more cost effective.
Now, let's assume Ikea batteries will definitely last 4 times more. That brings them to overall price parity in the long term. But the issue of high initial cost remains in that if one were to lose batteries the Amazon ones are only about 50c each. I would hesitate putting Ikea batteries in kids toys which are prone to be lost. I've been using Ikea rechargeables for remotes and door locks etc., but still employing Alkaline batteries for kids toys. With this deal I wouldn't hesitate swapping out the Alkaline ones for these cheaper rechargeables.
I the end I think the answer to ikea/eneloop ones vs these cheap rechargeables is not clear cut. They both have a place. The best solution is to perhaps use a mix based on use case. Items that are in long term use and not prone to get lost, use eneloops. For stuff like kids toys use these cheap ones instead.
