For me it is 14.88 with 15% S&S. Didn't need 5 items for S&S discount. I was considering this or the other frontpage deal for 6 pack of AAA. Ultimately decided on these as they are 800mAh (vs 700mAh) and price was close enough @ $0.62/battery (vs $0.60/battery).

Amazon S&S is doing screwly stuff lately - it showed the 15% discount at checkout (and I do have 5 other S&S items already). But then a few minutes later, the order got updated to give me only 5% discount. Don't feel like chatting with the robot agents for a couple of bucks, but it's annoying as hell. Same thing is happening to the 16 AA rechargeables too. I guess it's sign that I shouldn't buy this crap.

Just on these batteries right? Thankfully it's not doing it to all my S&S orders.

I wished they didn't change the their manufacture plant from japan to china. The Japan batteries were much better.

I'd stay away from these, regardless of the price. I purchased some recently and had to send them back. They didn't hold charge for more than a few days, and were also physically bigger than normal.

These amazon rechargeable batteries are shockingly bad. You're better off buying disposables at this price, they'll last longer than the full life of these will before they refuse to hold a charge anymore

That's why they are recommended for Panasonic phones. Even the Sanyo or Enerloop dies after a year or two because the phone is constantly being charged full, or that's what I think. I haven't tried these Amazon batteries. If they can last a year as my phone battery I'm good.

I would agree with others that these batteries are problematic. For those that have them and haven't trashed them, you can make them perform by discharging them before every charge. I use a recharger like this. https://www.lacrossetechnology.co...ucts/bc700
Insert the battery, select discharge. The charger will drain the battery and then recharge to a manageable level.

Amazon seems to sell a few variants: there's 2 high capacity ones with lower 400-500 cycle count and sometimes poor self discharge characteristics (50% after a year) and this one with lower capacity but 1000 cycle count and better self discharge characteristics (80% after 2 years). I'll give these a shot since I just bought some motion activated night lights that take AAAs.
