09/13 - Trade in processing has slowed down, a trade in that was delivered to Chino,
CA on 09/06 wasn't processed until 09/13, representing ~5 business days from delivery to assessment. Kentucky was processing trades faster, with a ~1 business day turnaround reported on 09/12 when the delivery was made on 09/11.
09/05 - Best Buy no longer issues "trade in kits" (boxes with prepaid labels). Once your Pixel 9 Pro is delivered and the Best Buy order status shows delivered (their system lags behind UPS), you'll get an email with the next steps. You need to go into the Order Details page on BB.com, sign in and then you can print a pre-paid UPS label for the trade-in. Save a copy of the tracking number for your records and make sure it gets scanned in to the UPS system when you drop it off.
Trade ins will likely be delivered in bulk, but UPS should still show a delivered scan. IT WILL TAKE TIME FOR THE TRADE INS TO BE PROCESSED, DO NOT FREAK OUT IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN INSTANTLY. As of 09/04, they were processing trades that were delivered on 08/29 - so at least 4 business days. It WILL take time with the volume of P9P orders and trade ins.
If BB baited you into their "store" with advertised "enhanced" trade in values and then decided to reneg days later, at least, file a FTC complaint

Pixel 9's not currently working with TracFone
The trade-in value will show as the BASE VALUE, but that does not include the promotion value. You will still get the promotion value assuming you were going to get it per your order receipt, so do not worry.

1. I bought a phone in acceptable condition from Amazon for 189+taxes. It arrived in pretty beat up condition esp. the body.

2. The store rep did not check a single thing on the phone condition. I had a backup phone in Good condition ready in case the rep rejected my phone in Acceptable condition. All he took was IMEI, checked my ID and took a fingerprint.
3. Phone carrier does not matter but looks like the color does. My store rep did not care about anything.
4. Overall process was smooth and the net price was 0. The $100 BB credit was available immediately.
The iphone 12 I traded in on P9 matched perfectly, no problem.
The S23+ I traded in on the P9 Pro XL was a carrier phone (I selected unlocked) and it had a pretty sizeable scratch across the screen, but was otherwise flawless. No problem, full trade value.
I paid $0 tax on the phone value. My total was $108.13 which was because the P9 Pro XL was $1099 and S23+ tradein was $999 and I have the $300 in BBY GC's in hand (virtually).
No hassles, no fuss, no problems.
Just for historical data, I paid $221.40 for the iPhone and $372 for the S23+. $701.53 out of pocket, $300 in BBY GC's and my old Pixel 7 and 7 Pro that I could probably sell quick for $200 or each. Slick!
I assume this is just some automated BS but they are making it seem like unless it ships on Sept 3 it will be cancelled? They also seem to think that the actual ship date should have been today, so this is probably just an error on their part but.. it is BB so who knows.
