I love my Sony OLED 77", not going to lie tho, they have me puzzled putting a mini LED into the Bravia 9 this year, which is their flagship model. Is their new mini LED dynamic backlighting actually superior to OLED? They must think so, to not put OLED into their flagship tv

Was checking their latest mini LED display last week at BB the difference is night and day compared to OLED side by side, black still look grey like any led and the colors look anemic compared to oled

They have Bravia 9 right next to Bravia 8? At the stores here, Bravia 9 is only on display in the Magnolia section.

Why does it say 2024 in the title? Bravia 9 is the 2024 model.

The Bravia 7, 8, and 9 are 2024 models. The Bravia 9 is the flagship Mini LED, and the Bravia 8 OLED is the replacement for the A80L.

Agreed! I experienced the same at Best Buy and was wondering if something was wrong or if just me. Defnitely the OLED was noticeably better; excellent black levels and vibrant colors, while the new mini LED felt bland and too greyish. Have a 77in sony OLED and it is amazing.

No worries! The Bravia 8 is barely an upgrade over the A80L. It's like 10% brighter and it finally uses a glossy panel unlike the previous Sony OLEDs that used a semi gloss finish (A80J 55"-65", A80K, A80L except the 83" model with a glossy panel).
