I've been using metal blades on glass for over 30 years and never scratched any glass yet. Exactly how are you "snagging" on the glass?
Literally no offense my guy... but it sounds more like a skill issue.

Before using this, your sharp blade can snag into glass and cause scratches. This is more of a last resort tool. There are so many other options for removing gunk from glass.
Do you mind providing suggestions

It is somewhat a skill and care issue. If you don't have the DIY or professional skills, it is very easy to leave a permanent scratch mark on the glass. Better safe than sorry applies for the most. Last time I went to DMV, the lady did exactly that to my windshield to remove the old sticker.

I use razor blades on glass regularly and also haven't had this issue. If the blade is relatively new, sharp and clean, and you're using it at a low angle, the risk of scratches should be pretty low.

You might need to use some soapy water too, for extra slide. Tinters use razor blades all the time on glass.

Need the right angle, if your not doing it right....you will make scratches

Get a hair dryer/heat gun. Blast it with heat for a minute or two. Should be easier to pull off once the sticker residue is loosen.
