If you have any desire to get an iPad (and you don't have any higher-end specific needs), this is a bargain.

For $200, you can run virtually any iPad application or iPhone application. It's an entirely capable device -- there's nothing "wrong" or poorly constructed with this model. Yes, other models have nicer features -- but they come at additional costs.

It's also relatively newish -- only one generation removed from current. So you'll get a few years of use out of it before Apple end-of-lifes it, just to get you to "upgrade".

This ipad plus one of those cheap android tracfones (even if you don't activate them on cellular) will give you the ability to run pretty much any mobile application available.

There are frequent sales on 13" M1 Macbook Airs (they are a 4 year old machine at this point), as well as sales on refurbished Dell business-class laptops (8th gen intel and later). For around $1000, you can get one device of each platform. No excuse to not be able to get anything done.

Wow what a deal. I know, it from 2021 and 64GB however it is perfect for internet browsing and social media consumption which is for 90% of folks out there.

Headphone jack and a home button are nice too!

Are you joking? Only $20 savings for an open return that is in fair condition is a fool's savings. Can get $10 off just with a target card.

These would be Christmas gifts, I know no one knows for sure but I assume it's better to wait until Black Friday for iPad deals?
Let me ask you this.will this go low as $99? Personally, I hope so but realistically it won't.

Costco is coming up at $229. Did they change back to higher price?

Best Buy is also running $25 back when spending $250 for card members. With 5% back, you can essentially add a $35 case and get $35 back in rewards (assuming 7% sales tax).

Costco appears to extend the manufacturer's warranty and allows 90 day returns. This might be worth the additional $30.

all of us on some level might be a little conflicted about whether to buy TODAY at 199 dollars or wait some more to see if it will drop some more. Or we think if we should wait to buy the IPAD 10th gen for 229 dollars ... or if we should buy IPAD AIR 5th or 6th gen device for 399 or 599 dollars. Take your time and think about it you have a couple of hours before it's sold out and gone forever and you will be stuck with remorse. (just joking around in good-natured way). Maybe voice your concerns and get it out, and see if it helps in making the decision , either way.
I bought one 9th gen IPAD a few months ago for 249 dollars and I loved the experience, and TODAY I bought another one for 199 dollars. There is no "right" or "wrong" .... share your process with us, and hopefully something will "click" for you, either "yes" or "no".

I was wondering why Walmart doesn't match the $199 price.

Agreed. It all about preference. I personally just want the basic iPad with the best battery life for internet and YouTube therefore I picked iPad 9th gen for $199.99. The 10th gen variant, Air, Mini, and Pro are either overkill and or unnecessarily more $$$.

watching videos on the 10th might be better because of the stereo speakers when holding it in landscape orientation

Huh. The link provided opens my app at $229.

Searching from the website results in showing $199. Weird
