Best MBP 14" with M3 Pro chip deal I've seen. If you need an Apple laptop now, jump on this deal asap. If not, wait for the M4/M4 Pro MBP coming at the end of this year.
Just finished setting up the open box M3 Pro I bought today at BBY. The machine still had the plastics on everything, This is the 3rd time I've purchased an open box computer for BBY and I've always had a smooth experience.
I'll just follow up with a call to Apple's AppleCare team to have them correct the warranty expiration date (they just need the receipt showing purchase date).
I recently bought the MBP14 M1 Pro, Geek Squad Certified for $979 plus tax. The laptop is in pristine condition and also has AppleCare+ until March 2025.
Since I am still in return period, is it a good upgrade to return mine and buy the M3 Pro ?

I have the same, and am thinking of returning and buying this. I also didn't get any AppleCare+ eligibility so it makes it an easier decision
I have the same, and for some reason, the RAM is always 80-90% used for normal programming apps and Arc browser.
Makes me wonder if I should return and go for the 32GB RAM version, but the price is almost double. Any suggestions for keeping RAM usage lower? I'm worried it'll lag if I start using a memory intensive app.

MacOS is designed to use as much RAM as the system has. Unused RAM is wasted RAM. A 32gb RAM system would still use 80-90% even if you're doing the exact same things as you were with 16gb, it's by design.

Do these open box computers already have applecare attached to them? Or do you have to buy that separately?

experienced the same. btw it isn't 32gb it is 36gb. personally, i returned it and am waiting on a deal for a 36GB 16" since bb doesn't sell 36GB 14, sadly. i would like to use this for the next 3 years at least... and hitting that max ram is unacceptable, imo ofc. lots of resources for you to look at on your own, but here... https://youtu.be/gqiYSt4nAFs?t=694 . i know the sheep echo macos is so efficient... it isn't rly. it will waste ram and still use swap. as you can see in the video... it has plenty of ram to use and it still uses swap.

Also, if you have the Best Buy credit card, check your offers section for $100 back if you spend $1000. Essentially making this $1399 which is nuts.
Anyone think it'll go lower after m4 announcement or release? This is $600 off already, which is unprecedented for apple products not on clearance.
