I'm the very definition of a cheapskate. I literally take things from the dump on occasion and I'm not proud. I am 1000% on board with recommending Darn tough and have replaced nearly all of my socks with them. Truly excellent quality and comfort with a warranty to back them up, plus made in USA! One of the very few products on the market I feel is actually worth the cost.

I have 6 pairs of Darn Tough socks and 4 pairs of Balega socks. IMO the Balegas are more comfortable, but I've had the Darn Toughs longer (probably 3 years at this point) and they truly are durable. So far I have one small hole in one sock, I keep waiting for additional socks to get holes in them so I can send multiple at a time but they still are holding up great.

I tried to return socks but when I went to the web site it said that the return window expired because I bouvght them on sale. Has anyone else had this expirience?

Did you try a warranty claim? My Darn Tough socks last me 2-3 years before developing tiny holes (I walk about 25k steps/day). I've done 2 warranties with them and have had no problem.
