My account had a coupon for 10% off (not sure if everyone has it so YMMV). If not then $399

A lot of people are upset with Ecoflow recently due to them overselling during Prime Day and having a delay in shipping their products, so people might be a little hesitant.

I bought two of these last month after Hurricane Beryl and they are essentially worthless to me because you need an additional

Sorry to hear. I was the OP for the $239 prime deal last month. My original post had a callout for Delta Pro needing an adapter. But SD staff edited my post and removed it. You could still see my original post with that callout. I also bought the $411 Delta 2 which worked with this out-of-box. Tested at full 800W charging from my PHEV. Also got this after Beryl for the next outage. Will use my PHEV and BEV as "generators".

Wanna sell one to me at the price you got it last time?

Thanks but no thanks

I've already committed to wiring my truck. I don't want to undo the wiring. I ordered the adapter from Amazon and would rather wait. Although the alternator chargers are worthless to me today they will eventually be of great value when the adaptor arrives.

What is the point of this thing? Sorry I'm new to this battery backup industry.
I just bought an ECOFLOW DELTA MAX 2 Power Station in case I lose power in my house.
What do I need this thing for?

to charge your Delta 2 Max using your car or from another LifePO4 battery @800Watts?

Thanks! This makes more sense.

I am still unclear on the use case. Can't you plug the power station into the lighter socket?

OK. So it's like connecting it to the battery directly and the charger's role is to allow charging only when the car is running? Otherwise, what does it do? A glorified breaker?

No. It's a DC-DC converter. Can also reverse charge your car battery and is also a battery maintainer. Video I linked explains its use cases plus more.

Besides the significantly higher rate of charge, it supports reverse charging too. For example, a Delta 2 could bring a low car battery back to life... it also works with 12-24V LFP batteries... so you can pull power off of cheap 12-24V LFP batteries or put power into them via AC or solar. IMO that's the most appealing part of these, perhaps even better than being able to charge from a running vehicle.

I grabbed one when they were $240, ran it through some testing, and I'm pretty satisfied with how it works. My Delta 2 can now effectively have an extra 1-4kWh capacity depending which 12V LFPs I use it with.

$240 -- Wow! I wish I would have seen and understood its' purpose when that deal was around. Where did you get it?

I spent the $399 plus tax, on ebay, as Amazon hiked up well beyond that at that time. I still haven't used it. I have had it for around 4 or 5 weeks. I had delivery issues with the Delta 2 deal that was on slickdeals for $411 plus tax. Finally it came in...well after the alternator charger. Just received the Delta 2 actually.

It was a $200 off coupon on Ecoflow's site iirc, towards the end of 'prime day' deals when my wallet was already hurtin'.. Thanks go to this poster:

Man, I didn't look on their site! I think that is right around where I ordered it actually, because I recall the whole issue of my Jul 17 order not initially being fulfilled on the Delta 2. Awesome for you!
