First iPhone12 will cost $124.99.
To activate this line, you have to be able to receive a verification text message on that iPhone12. After you activate it online and have an account at metropcs website, you can add a second iPhone12 for $84.99.
Device automatically unlocks after 12 months and doesn't require having service. iPhone12 is locked to MetroPCS.
You can let the first month expire and your account will automatically close. Nothing to do from your side.
Amazon Prime activation (also requires a text message to the first device):
https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/b...e/activate
Prime will end as soon as your first line is closed or expired.

What happens if I don't go through with port-in activation? I still see my old spare phone number in Xfinity Mobile. Do I get charged the rest of the discount I got?
When is the last day to activate? I want to delay the activation to use the Amazon Prime for 1 month since I currently have a Prime until end of Sept.
Am I understanding the process correctly? Is it the right approach? Will I be able to use the $25 unlimited plan once I change the IMEI to iphone 12?
Also on an unrelated note, when setting up the new iphone 12 with the ported GV, should I use my existing apple ID which is associated with my permanent number? Or create a new ID? Thanks everyone for your input
Got my IPhone 12 in today. After stumbling around trying to activate it because mine didn't auto activate, found I could go here and use order number to activate
https://www.metrobyt-mobile.com/r...s/activate
After that, logged in to Metro account and went ahead and moved my Metro plan to another IMEI - - my Pixel 9's second esim slot
Worked like a charm. All within a few minutes
From here, should be easy to port back to GV
But my main reason for doing this is that I can go to Best Buy mow and trade in the iPhone 12 for my second Pixel 9 while keeping the Metro line active and working so I can order a tablet (see Samsung 20 dollar tablet deal) and have access to the account if needed

If it is ported back, then yes, my Metro line would be discontinued. And I actually don't know if that's a good idea, in terms of messing with the original iPhone 12 deal
Moving to an unlocked device from the locked Metro device I bought the plan with (iPhone 12 deal) shouldn't cause a problem and is easy to do, is basically what I found
As for the tablet, it is ordered via your metro account after logged in. It's a whole new line for 20 bucks with tablet free. Similar to this one, you just stop paying after first month to keep free tablet
My question there is whether I can keep tablet in box to have it "activate" and thereby gift it nice and clean to someone after lol
