Let be clear on their unlocking policy. There is 365 days waiting time, and also the phone should have service for 180 days within 365 days. This is per my recent conversation with their customer service agent.
Please remember that their unlock policy criteria does not specify automatic unlock regardless of the service time.

You're missing the point here. 99% of us only want to pay $125 1x to get the phone. You want to pay $70 a month for 2 years. Not us😀

You can actually do it really easily in the app. The website doesn't work great, it wants to switch plans or something weird. Even moving from iPhone to iPhone. I finally got the eSIM to move from the 12 to a Pixel 8a using the app.

Is any one tried doing trade in metro iphone 12 for att costco offer, I just tried to do trade in called att customer service to get trade in shipping label but customer service person saying iphone should carrier unlocked to trade in. Is any have similar experience or is it fine to trade in metro carrier locked phone

Try inserting a different sim card to see if it works. It takes a while to update otherwise. Or you can check the imei on sickw.com
