I recommend combining this set with this driver. It's my main driver set now. I love it:

Seems like a solid deal. I don't have any Vessel Tool products but, based on their reputation, I pulled the trigger on this one.

What I like about this kit is, for those of us that use both metric and imperial, this has an awesome selection of bits. I have a Wera bit-check 30-piece kit and ended up swapping out a bunch of bits to pretty much match the selection of this Vessel kit off the shelf. The Wera kit annoyingly doubles up on Torx by having both regular and security bits.

This Anex ratcheting screwdriver is the best I have found:

These bits take a good abuse, however the ball torsion reduces the end torque at the tip and increases life of the bit. For e.g if you use the M12 1500 inch-lbs impact, you would get around 500-600 inch-lb with this bit, it saves your bit though.
So they claim, but again, I can't find any information on how valid that is.

Every other manufacturer just uses a thicker shank.

What most people don't understand is that vessel is JIS Standard. Where Phillips heads are meant to cam out at a given torque, JIS is meant to maximize bite. These are a must if you work on Japanese motorcycles, automotive, etc..

Regardless of JIS or Philips - They both suck, and are far inferior to Spline, XZN, Torx, Posi-drive and Robertson, in my lengthy experience i.e.

For DIY and around the house, this may be an overkill. You can pick up any torsion bits from HD or Lowes. Here is one such from Lowes - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-1...1002653024

You don't need any more validity. Any straight metal shaft starts twisting at the weakest point, in this case being the ball torsion part. The ball just separates the weak point into 2 sections and adds rigidity to the torsion overall. This way the tip of the bit takes less beating and increases its useful life.

unfortuneatly these are not what i would consider ball end; they have a ball built into the shank (middle) to strengthen against breaking for impact use. Something I personally have not experienced.Nice tools for someone whom uses them more often than I do, but I have this assortment from buying other tool kits and don't see the value in redundancy.
I work in construction and have had maybe 3 bits break over 3-4 years - And I use just regular cheap dewalt and Milwaukee bits. 99 out of 100 times they will just get dull before they'll break.

Not a single ball torsion joke? Is SD slipping?

In all seriousness, though, I can't find a single piece of information on what good the ball is. It definitely isn't a ball end hex like some of these comments are mistakenly saying.
I'm here bro. I was thinking of the guy that said he liked the ball grip screwdriver
