Nothing.
If your son is going to be using it for most normal types of college work (research, writing papers, online classes, a few dozen chrome tabs etc.), this is a great option.
If he is going to be doing graphic intense work (web/graphic design, advertising, engineering, etc.) or playing AAA games, then you will need something with a beefier graphics card.
Overall, the specs are great for the price and the components are the current generation. The build quality should be solid (with an aluminum chassis), and the 2 in 1 feature is nice.
Good luck to your son, and I hope he excels in whatever he is studying and makes you proud.

Amazing that there are still some parts of the internet where people are cool to one another. Thank you to everyone on the thread, and thanks to you for the kind words about my son. I fully expect him to kick much ass in college, he's the best a dad could ask for.

If you want durable laptops

Costco sometimes have the Lenovo Thinkpad on sale for $600-800.

Dell Outlets Latitude $600 , HP Elitebook or Roll the Dice for Used Dell for $300

These regular HP, Lenovo, Acer/Asus last if you open and close your lid often or travel with it.

Costco is one best places to buy laptops $400

A relative bought this laptop and she likes it. But she's been getting emails about activating various security applications that come with it. Is it worth it or are they just nag-ware that will pester you to buy the full version or renew the license after a year?
