I thought brushless and Fuel are interchangeable?

Hmm this seems like a stretch for a power tool function. 1/2" branches aren't too hard to cut with a manual tool. However I guess if you got a ton to cut… maybe worth it.

It would be useful for those doing a lot of pruning but need to fill a yard waste can.

In the spring we do a ton of pruning but most of the branches are quite long.

Trying to stuff them into the can so they all fit is annoying.

So this would be handy cutting them down to 6-8 inches each. Hold the branch in one hand and chop away.

Pretty handy!

No, but this is the best that you'll be able to get. Milwaukee doesn't think that every one of their tools deserves to be part of the Fuel line.

I love team red as much as anyone but when looking at the cost of this we could never justify buying it. We did however buy a similar tool from mellif that runs off milwaukee batteries and was only 40 bucks. So if the price point seems a bit high for name brand and you think the concept of the tool is solid take a look.

It cuts bigger branches than that... up to 1.25" which otherwise dictate the need for loppers - beyond the capability of just a simple hand pruner.

Additionally, the batteries in this (while not really fitting for this tool) can likely be easily resold @ $100 or more - they're among the best in the M12 lineup.

I got one on sale a few weeks ago with a hack. I've been wanting one for a while, but I felt like $200 was too high. Now that I have it, I love it. It is pretty sweet. I have 38 fruit trees and am constantly trimming and pruning branches. I wish I would have bought it years ago.

This deal is back 8/29/2024 but it looks like it's only until the end of the day.

I've even cut larger branches - 1.5 to 2.5 inches or so, but it takes a few tries and really runs down the battery. Might not be good for the motor. But when I'm up in a tree and don't want to switch to a sawzall or a hand saw.

I've got one by Craftsman and it is a great tool. Especially good for old, hard, woody (giggity) stems on plants like Escallonia, Ceanothus, etc.

I might reverse hack this for the batteries haha.

I can't justify it for this price, but I did grab the Ryobi version for $69 and it's great. Wish it could fit bigger branches tho.

How do you hack this. It's all 1 order is it not? I also want the HO batteries.

Yeah, you're right. Never mind. Will just do my own hack and sell the pruner.
