Along with improved performance, these batteries are also 23% more compact than the previous model (R8400806). The MAX Output 4.0 Ah batteries will provide up to 3X more runtime compared to the 1.5 Ah lithium-ion battery (AC870015). The RIDGID MAX Output 2.0 Ah batteries will provide extended runtime compared to the 1.5 Ah lithium-ion battery (AC870015). As always, these RIDGID MAX Output batteries are 100% compatible with all RIDGID 18V tools. I got this fan in store during the $59 sale, and it is still unopened in the box. I am more than likely returning it and getting this deal instead. I have been watching this thread just for something to throw me over the edge. I have plenty of batteries and chargers from these Ridgid deals, but the 6ah is swaying me towards returning the fan. At full retail price, the batteries alone are a no brainer, but even at past battery deal prices, this combo seems solid. When this was posted, there were 115 left, and at the time of this message, there are 107, so there doesn't seem to be much interest, which is why I was hesitating. Now 106, so someone got one in the last few minutes 😄

This fan will run at 2/3 - 3/4 (hard to tell exactly) all night with a 4aH battery. Great for camping on a warm night!
