Saw this offer on multiple chase cards. Language is a little unclear as to whether two payments with the first being small and the second being $50 would qualify or if you need 2x $50 payments, but here it is. I got it 3/6. Word is there might be a VZ version floating around but I have not seen it personally.

I thought they asked all payment to pay with ACH from Bank.
You just have to set up autopay from ACH to avoid the fee. You can still pay your bill by credit card with no fee though before autopay hits
No you don't lose discount. I have auto pay connected to my bank account but pay every month a couple weeks before with my credit card to get points and phone protection and have never been charged a fee.

Try doing what I do to Verizon: purchase GCs off their website and use those for your monthly bill payment. Verizon's none the wiser and I get my credit card points/offers when they pop up.

Funny to see my OP edited by SD to add the SD tracking link for a Chase page. Don't know that I have ever seen that.
And so odd, usually mine are always ATT (one early iteration of the offer even allowed me to use it on anything at ATT, not just wireless payments). This is the first time I saw TMobile, but never a Verizon. Sadly, I have Verizon.
I'd just try buying a GC to see if it triggers it. That's what I do with my AMEX ones that pop up and it always triggers. Then I rinse the GC into my monthly bill payment.
Idk I've always kept a debit card on file for autopay for the discount, and then pay early using my credit card for my 3% cash back.

My first thought was they don't make the offer if you've paid you bill with the card before. But I've never used the second card to pay bills and nothing there either. The offers there were mostly the same.
I had the att offer though.
Thanks to those who mentioned how to circumvent the crappy auto pay rule change though! That's a big deal to me because I like to use a card that has cell phone protection.
