Best Buy also has a similar price at $1099.99 with free delivery or in store pickup:

This is more expensive than other 65 inch TVs because it is designed in a special "wall art style" and can have a "frame" fitted to the side of it, similar to the Samsung "The Frame" TVs. However, I chose to purchase this Hisense model because I prefer its Google TV interface versus the Samsung system. The TV includes a "Teak" frame, and a slim / flush wall mount.

The separate box is the clutch feature for me. It means you only have one tiny wire to hide or route. And, if you want to change or ad components down the road, you do it from the box instead of potentially having to take your whole TV down to access the back.

The boxless design does make sense for some applications, like if you're going to put it on a wall that doesn't have a media center or credenza under it to stash the box in. But for most home applications, I think Samsung's design makes the most sense.

I use AppleTV on everything, so I don't care about the OS at all, personally.

That said, I'm glad there are more competitors in the "Frame Game". Competition is good.

Yup I would have preferred the box too!! What I did for this TV is just buy a bunch of HDMI cables, an optical cable, etc. and run everything at once, so I hopefully don't ever have to take the TV down in the future LMAO

I could have sworn I briefly looked at the manual and there was a box. I'd rather not have a box for my application.

Yes they also had a great sale when the 2024 model was released. The Hisense is more compelling to me for no box, and my prefered software.

Same. Samsung with box is a hassle to pull in new wires when the conduit is already packed with Hdmi and Ethernet for me. Might give this a shot

one review said "Love the art mode without any subscriptions."
I'm sold. going to do the 55"
edit: no box is a plus. just need a recessed box to run wiring. will probably use a vesa box

edit2: picked up a 55" last night. 65" would've been too big for my dinner room. I've worked on samsung frame tv and this is 95% similar. no in-wall box which I like because I can install it like a traditional tv. Going to use a Arlington 2-Gang Retrofit Recessed box to the bottom center of the wall mount. there are slots on the back side to run wires so it sits flush. ports are on the left side. power right side. remote is too big. the samsung slim flat remote is much simpler.

will run slim fiber HDMI 2.1 cables to the tv from my MDF. Tizen OS is trash. google OS is better. this tv for me is 99% art and it's connected to an HDMI matrix to mirror tv from living room and patio for sports/UFC during events at the house.

has 19gb free of storage. USB transfer of pics to the tv's art mode app was ok. I found that some pictures were upside down or rotated wrong even though it's right on my windows laptop.

Agreed. The One Connect Box is amazing for wall-mounted TVs. It just makes it so much easier to connect/disconnect things and doesn't require running multiple cords behind the TV or through the wall.

That said, I'm glad there's competition too because Samsung still doesn't support Dolby Vision. So they are still trying to prop up their losing format for HDR. They've basically lost a format war and refuse to accept it.

This was gonna be my buy until the 75" EPP sale on the frame, so I ended up buying that.

I still think this is a great price for a great TV if it fits your needs, and the Samsung only wins out if you need a larger size, bezels, or prefer the box, which none of it actually has to do with the TV picture quality itself lol. Otherwise the premium for the Samsung doesn't seem to be worth it.

It's good to see competition. I recently discovered the similar capability on our 5 year old Roku OS TV. The app is Backdrop. I was able link Google account photos to backdrop app to show our own collection of pics. Roku had bunch of art from various museums that's the user's can choose from as well.
