I mean they kind had to with how bad the xbox is selling vs PS/Switch
I used to be fine with download, delete, redownload over the years but realize it a waste of data. Now if I get unlimited then it would be a different story but for some folks with limitations, this deal make perfect sense
I returned to gaming after a long hiatus. I and others don't wait forever for a perfect deal nor bother care…and I got nothing to lose. I'll wait for the $100 1 TB option

That aside, I'd suggest an external HDD for situations like that. It can't run current-gen games natively so you need to spend time transferring from the external drive to the internal before you can play, but Xbox One and 360 games run just fine from it, it's cheaper than the SSD by a longshot, and, with my 300mbps bandwidth, transferring is faster than downloading the game fresh. Just make sure to turn off auto-updates to prevent it from eating into your data when everything is updating in the background.
