check you local yamaha dealer before buying. They can likely beat the price on all ebikes. i purchased the morrow 7 new for 500 less the online.

Purchased second one today. price went up slightly below is my invoice. price was 2247 (morrow 7) out the door.
For those thinking about getting an ebike but worried about not getting enough exercise, remember this: sitting on the couch thinking about riding your analog bike burns no calories. Riding your ebike because it's fun and you don't have to stress about a hateful hill climb or running out of energy far from home burns a lot more calories!
Apparently it's Yamaha ebike week on SD

Walked into a local Yamaha dealership over the weekend and picked up a Wabash RT. Interestingly enough, this location was not listed on the Yamaha website as an option to order online for pickup. Still got the full deal. Put ~30 miles on it so far and love it. Been wanting to get into an e-bike for a while now and I'm glad I pulled the trigger.
Did it come with multiple keys for the battery release?

I'm currently have, and ride, 3 non-ebikes (cyclocross, MTB, and fatbike). I love MTBing the most, but I use the cyclocross more because I can't get out to the trails as often as I would like. I would prefer to get an eMTB but not sure I want to get the Yamaha Moro since I'd be tempted to go with the fancy version, which is considerably more expensive and a bit outdated (27.5" wheels, no-Universal derailleur hanger, etc. . Anyone in a similar boat that pulled the trigger on the WabashRT? How do you find the electrified experience?

How is the sizing? I didn't see a sizing chart aside from what someone posted in one of the threads. I'm 5'10" and wear 32"L pants. Medium or Large better?

Is comfort OK? Ii was looking at the GT Grade X because it has a flex-stays and a front suspension fork. I know this one has a "suspension" seatpost but I'm not sure how well those work and there's also nothing on the front. Could perhaps swap out for a sush fork or stem, as my wrists are sensitive to high-frequency vibration that you feel on gravel.

Do dealers typically have some samples on the floor to try or are they all special order?

This is what worked for me but don't know if it's different for others:

In Chrome, go to your order details page on Yamaha website.

Open Developer Mode (3 dots > More Tools > Developer Tools), you should get a console and the Yahama website side-by-side.

On the top of the developer console, click Network (it's part of Elements, Console, Recorder, etc on the top).

After clicking Network, reload your Order Details website again and you should start seeing elements pop up in the console.

Click the filter text box and filter by Tracking, you should see 2 entries.

Click on the one with the Fetch Type and you should see the preview window for this object.

Click the triangles next to Data > shippingGroups > 0 > trackingInfo > 0

All your tracking info should be under that last 0.

Worked perfectly! How did you even come up with this? Some awesome sleuthing!

Just order it directly from Velofix.com. No tax, no shipping, free delivery and assembly.

Would anyone know if ordering for delivery from yamaha and having Velofix be the agent for delivery also include assembly vs picking it up from a dealer (which by default includes assembly)?

Was the bike assembled before delivery to your home? Or did you have to assemble it yourself?
Still waiting to find out. Delivery date says 9/24. I asked the same question in a separate thread above since delivery will be through Velofix which essentially is also a dealer.

Same issue with delivery with from Velofix. Only available in Miami-Dade. As soon as you go right across the street from a Dade address to a Broward address, delivery becomes unavailable. Velofix was who was supposed to deliver mine from Palm Beach County when ordered directly from Yamaha. No delivery to Palm Beach County either anymore.

I tried in Chrome but couldn't find the trackinginfo, so I installed firefox in the end just to get the tracking number.

Anyway, great job, I am curious to know how you managed to discover this??

Looks like where in live in WA Velofix.com has the Wabash with no tax. Do you think it's worth cancelling the already shipped order I made through official website and make a new one with Velofix, saving the tax?
i am in the same boat too, but my order already shipped and going to arrive the dealer next Monday.

Can I still return the bike to the dealer after I picked it up? Any shipping or admin fees for return?

E-Bike Return policy
Customers will have 15 days from receipt of the E-Bike to initiate a return. All returns are initiated through the pickup or delivery dealer. E-Bike must be in new, undamaged and original condition and is subject to verification by the dealer.

I'm 5'10" and I ordered a large because I prefer a bigger bike. I'm sure most bike shops and experts would refer you to buy a medium from what I have read on the comments. I have the same issue with wrist pain from vibration. So I'm planning on replacing the stem with a suspension steam like this one [redshiftsports.com]. My dealer only had older model bikes in the shop. You might get lucky and find a shop that has the one you want to test.

Someone had mentioned using Developer Tools to inspect JSON and gave some general directions. After a few minutes of Googling and Youtubing, I found the info and tried to do a simple write-up.

I can't take credit for discovering this...just maybe writing up steps for someone, like me, who is not well-versed with this stuff.

timclin, you are a god. A god I say!!

On that note, my order shipped from Palmetto, GA to Charlotte, NC within 2 days (delivered to Charlotte Cycles today)
I stopped by Charlotte Cycles today after lunch around the corner. Saw 4 CrossCores in boxes, no Wabash, not to say yours wasn't somewhere. There's a gravel ride out of York SC on 9/28, 30 and 46 mile routes. Check the HopFly Bike & Brew FB page for the event.

I wish Yamaha would have included the tracking number with the, "it's shipped" email. You would think a huge company like Yamaha would at least tell us when the bike will arrive.

Agreed, but then the typical customer expectation is that it will be built within hours after it's delivered. I think Yamaha is vague on purpose to give their dealers some breathing room and reduce calls. Hoping for 48 hour turnaround and dry weather.
