How much do you expect for a non-carrier promotion for a 4-year old base model phone?

AT&T & T-Mobile offer $1K value for iPhone 12 with their premium plans. Many are buying it for trading in with their carrier. Already got a 12 from Metro last deal, which was $50 more.

Keeping my current phones (13 and higher) as spares so I can trade these in instead for less.

If you don't auto-pay or extend service, there is nothing to cancel. You just stop paying. Based on what I have read, device should auto unlock after 12 months from activation and continued service is not required.

    Now I'd like to port out the second iphone 12 but in order to get the transfer pin it asked me to login to my account using that second line's phone number. So when I tried to create an account with that second phone number, it sent a text to the new phone with a code. How do I get that code without opening up the box?

You said you ordered the 2nd i12 in the same account, so I am assuming that the 1st phone is out of the box and can receive the security code to log into the account. If that's correct, request a transfer PIN for the 1st phone (you don't have to port out the 1st phone). The transfer PIN is THE SAME for all lines in an account. The account number is also the same for all lines in an account (that sounds obvious, but some companies like TracFone uses different account numbers for different lines in the same account).

So now my issue is where do I port the two phone numbers out to? They're originally from Google Voice. I thought I could just port them back into GV but it's not letting me... I guess I could buy a couple of those StraightTalk phones that are on a frontpage deal now
