Was about to buy until I read reviews from this deal previously posted on here from Lowe's. Consensus is these are really cheap parts that break easily. I'd rather have 300 well made pieces than 1300 crappy ones, so I'll pass on this

I'm not a huge fan of how these lock together, but it works. Essentially, on the left and right side of the lid are a couple of integrated "tracks" (see picture 9 on Walmart's site) and then there is a red "lock" on the front of each bin that you push up to lock it in place. You can lock an unlimited number of these together since all 3 have the full rail/locks. The thing I don't like about them is how difficult it can be to lock/unlock them. It's not super hard, but it definitely could be a lot better.

I have this set, I actually used a couple screws and washers on a fridge/freezer project when reattaching the gasket to the door. Couple of the screws rusted from water, and one hole stripped.

replaced screws and added washer since original screws had washers integrated.
used a larger screw on the stripped hole, worked perfectly.

not sure about the quality but the stackable case alone looks more than $15 even on Temu. Gonna give it a shot.

Trying to figure out how these lock together. Push in or something? Don't see latches

The 8th photo on Walmart's site shows it. I'd post a link but I can't seem to copy the image web address from my phone.

There is a small rail on the slide that each case slide onto each other and there is a small latch in the front to keep it together. It's not as sturdy so I wouldn't trust it.

The hardware is cheap as well. Definitely for light projects and small repairs. I wouldn't use any hardware for house/auto.

The boxes don't connect well to each other on mine anymore. I don't care though, as I've used so many of these fasteners for this or that little project. They're all small fasteners, so of course nothing heavy duty is going to be done with them. That said, I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought this from Lowe's last time it was posted. The hardware is not great but it's come in handy several times. That being said, the case is not worth close to $15. The $3-4 ones from harbor freight are higher quality imo.

I also bought this from Lowes. The comments about the hardware being cheap are true but in a "non-critical" situation it sure beats making a trip for 1 or 2 screws. My biggest complaint is the tape that holds the 3 containers together. It took forever to get it off and still ended up with pieces sticking to each container.

Just my .02 on this and my opinion is worth precisely that. I bought this set from Lowes a couple of years ago. I have been shocked how many times I have used it when I need to know the precise size of a small machine bolt or small screw for some random little thing. Yep, the locking mechanism is super annoying and NO, these are NOT the highest quality stainless steel bolts and screws. However, for what it's worth, just to have all these precise sizes organized and available, I'm buying another one just to give to my son. It's just incredibly helpful to have.

I purchased, its handy for replacement screws / one-off needs. Beats driving to the store.
