Price of for specs but...
Ryzen 9 HX and RTX dGPU in a 13" laptop? Man, they made a mini nuclear reactor there. Those power levels would have to be at the lowest for this to be functional as a "Lap"top
Looking at reviews, the 4050 is actually fed more power than many other laptops and outperforms 4060s on some others due to that. Actually the reason I picked this up, I've wanted a 2 in 1 for a while but they never seem to be quite serious enough to use for anything more than very light video editing. Basically my dream device to have something super portable, has a pen (preferably usable in a format that you can actually use the pen cuz using it on a straight laptop isnt exactly fun), and has the power to do real editing (bonus that it can game).
Only BIG downside i see is the 60hz refresh rate, but being as my main use isnt gaming and its a secondary device for travel, I'll survive.
The battery life looks like it suffers tho that might be due to driver issues not shutting off the gpu fully when it's not needed?
Well I picked it up so hopefully that's the case and it gets fixed.
Damn, the prices on laptops are falling like rocks. This one launched a month ago and it's already getting a decent discount. Black friday this year will be really interesting. This machine looks gorgeous, if it gets to 1k I'll definitely get one. Too bad the screen is 60hz though.
A 73WHr battery in a 3lbs laptop is really cool, I wish more companies would follow Asus and make the battery as large as can fit. But why can't I buy a 13" Ryzen AI 370 laptop with just the iGPU? I just want to compile stuff fast.
For the same price, isn't the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 the better buy? G14 has 4060 vs 4050, 500 vs 400 Nits, 120 Hz vs 60 Hz. Only difference is G14 has Ryzen 9 8945HS (8 core, 16 thread) vs Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (12 core, 24 thread). Only 1 gen of processor behind
