Nice machine. Got one a month ago. BB dropped the price on the first day outside of the return period, so no price match. Well played, BB. Still worth it.

I'm excited for something like this in the next year but with the 5050 if it gets the 8gb of ram people are expecting.

Is $1194 for the open box excellent worth it? I would not trust going below that with open box.

I have this laptop and am happy with it. Love the 13" form factor, screen is nice (but only 60hz). Keyboard is average, but otherwise build quality is solid and the laptop is snappy with a great CPU and 32GB of RAM. The 4060 is good enough for some gaming when needed, as well. Port selection is really great, considering the state of the industry today. 2 USB-C (both PD), a dedicated AC plug (if you want to free-up the USB-C), USB-A, full HDMI, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Micro-SD as well.

SSD is upgradable, but it's the smaller form factor M2230. Max 2TB, I think. But at least it's upgradable/replaceable when many others aren't.

WiFi7/BT chip is MediaTek, I replaced mine with a Qualcomm WiFi 7 chip. Unfortunately last time I checked Intel WiFi 7 cards don't yet work with new-gen AMD CPUs, otherwise I would have done that.

If you make the leap, be sure to disable all the ASUS utilities and instead use GHelper (https://github.com/seerge/g-helper). The latter is much more lightweight and easy to use (one-stop shop for all your customizations/settings). I love that I can disable the 5060 when just surfing away from the wall plug, to save on battery.

Paid ~$1500 for mine, and I would be all over the "excellent" open box at OP's price if I hadn't already bought one new!

This is a bizarre product. It's called ProArt and there's no pen. What am I finger painting?

Yeah. Needs to be touch screen or some kind of stylus for drawing on the screen. Odd disconnect. Specs look great otherwise but lacking in the core concept.

Yes, apparently only some ProArt models come with it. This one doesn't. But I got a Metapen M2 for it. $37 on Amazon. Works great.

The RTX 4050 mobile 6GB, says so in the specs list.

The 890M shares video memory with the system RAM.

Ah ok. Too small. I was gonna use it to maybe process some LLM work but 6GB Ram is a bit small for me and 4050 will run it much better. built-in GPU may not even be supported.

tnx!

ProArt has been around for some time, I believe starting with Monitors aimed at creatives, hence the name. Not necessarily means it needs a pen, but admittedly, would have been good if it was touchscreen with stylus support.
