I bought this in Jan 2025 bestbuy openbox satisfactory - not a scratch on laptop with all original box etc for $1189.
I really liked the screen, power, and functionality. Alot of bloatware and updates
I set it to smart charge < 80%.
One night standard shut off with it plugged in, 24 hours later I came back and the laptop was burning hot to the touch (for i don't know how long). The touchscreen gave out, the laptop lags, the touchpad works intermittently, and the battery dies extremely quickly. The laptop literally fried. I sent it in thru Bestbuy. 3 weeks later, it came back same symptoms.
Best buy eventually gave me a $1189 credit
I believe there is something wrong with the software that caused it to literally fry
Be aware if youre interested.

Thank you for posting your experience, as it confirms many strong negative reviews I read about this model.. I was considering this ProArt and other 13-14" laptops for my purchase. I ended up getting a Yoga 9i 14 with the 32GB ram, for my son's upcoming engineering undergrad.

I eventually went with
zenbook 14 UX3405CA-U9321TB brand new $900
Oled screen but no GPU
We went with the ASUS TUF Gaming A14 with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip, 16GB, and RTX 4060 gpu. Also for my son's engineering undergrad. It offered the best balance of specs, gpu, and lightweight (3lbs). It's a pretty sweet bit of kit for a relatively low price ($1300)
