The brackets might "hold" 160 lbs, but those screws and anchors will be torn right out of the wall. Be careful. ✌️

Looks like, these are just brackets ... Will need wood planks separately.

Any deals or separate codes on bigger ones? 8" or 10"?

Edit: they dont get any thicker the longer they are, so in theory very little added benefit anyways lol

Yea, the way the bracket is designed, you're only going to get two of the screws in each one into a stud, the other two would just be for show…
And what often happens with these, is that the spacing/balance doesnt line up properly to hit a stud or two with the brackets anyway and still look even.

I'm curious to try floating shelves just using pocket holes like in this video.
Anyone have any experience?

I wish 8 inches or 10 inches were on sale, too. I'm trying to hang the solar generator inside the gazebo. The smallest one I found was around 10X8

Actually just installed some of these. Really nice and do hold a ton of weight, probably safely 30-40 lbs. Do not even try to put 200 lbs on this unless you want your drywall to evaporate.

Keep in mind these are as measured, and wood is undersized by a half inch. So don't buy 8 inch brackets with 8 inch lumber. Since you want the bracket slightly smaller, the 6 inch works well with a 1x8.
