This worked to get an "unsupported" Android phone to work with this deal!

For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)

It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.

Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.

It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.

Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

When I've called in to Spectrum for the retentions dept to try and get a better deal on my home internet, they offered to include this as part of the deal. Last summer I was paying $85 for home internet (after 10 years of it going up every year). I called them and told them I was going to switch to T-Mobile Home and they offered to give me the new user price ($55) and upgrade me to the higher tier plan, and also throw in 1 free year of Spectrum Mobile. I ended up giving it to my 12 year old. Then this summer, called again and they renewed my lower price and gave me another free year. Only catch was it had to be a new phone number and they couldn't port the old number. But the service is good in LA area.

Terms: Requires purchase and activation of a minimum of three Spectrum Mobile lines with at least one port-in line ("Qualifying Lines"). Must activate all lines within 30 days of order.
That seems to be a condition of the "phone balance reimbursement" terms, not the 1yr free line by itself.

Berkshire, western MA? I have a friend in Pittsfield. I want to tell him about this but I'm afraid the mobile signal is bad with Spectrum.

I'm near Boston area. It worked fine in NYC .

Hi, how did you switch from eSim option to the physical sim kit? Thanks.
I believe you need to bring your own phone and add a phone that uses a physical SIM

1tb a month… on your phone… over data? Streaming 1hr of full high definition video is about 3GB. So 1tb a month would be the equivalent of streaming over 11 hours of HD video per day every single day, including weekends and holidays.

If you streamed just regular standard definition video, you could stream videos all day, every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and only use only 730 gb and month. …Over 1000gb a month seems excessive.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a software dev and I use my phone a TON, but I'm almost always on WiFi. WiFi doesn't count towards data.

With a corn addiction, always having it play in the background, this is easily accomplished

Do you just call and say I want to cancel my plan? I'm also paying $85 a month. But I don't really have a second option.

Just call and say you want to cancel. Say that you aren't happy with the price you're paying. They should try and transfer you to the retentions dept which seems to have much more power to offer deals and usually it's a US based call center. Both times I've done this they have been extremely helpful and willing to call me back to discuss any issues (and you'll actually speak to the same person).

Tell them that the service is ok but that it's way more expensive than other options (doesn't hurt to actually try and find some competitor prices in your area) and if they could help instead. They know the deal. You don't have to trick them. Staying with Spectrum at a lower price is better than losing you as an existing customer.

How is the insurance with this spectrum mobile? Is the replacement device comes Verizon locked?

I have 8 plus that I cracked the screen. They said I need to pay $29 and will do this thing after I come back from my trip. But want to know beforehand how things work here.

I'm currently paying $30 for my line. Can I somehow get this? Retention department has told me to go pound sans the last two times I called, trying to get a better deal.

For reference I had been paying $50 for internet and it came with 12 months free line, from September 2023 to September 2024. However, they then jacked up my Internet to $80 and my phone line went from being free to $30.

Not interested in another line, just interested in reducing my active line from $30 to free

You already got your line for free for a year so don't think it's likely they'll give you another year. Probably be better off finding another carrier. That said, you probably could get a lower price on the internet service if you call and get to the customer retention dept. by saying you're wanna change your ISP
