For this to work, your phone must:
- Work on the Verizon 4G/5G network with other carriers
- Have a physical SIM card slot (will not work for eSIM)
- Be unlocked so you can port it to other carriers
- Fail Spectrum's IMEI check (not really required, but no reason to do this if it passes the IMEI check)
It worked for my Tracfone/Samsung Galaxy a54.
Instructions:
1) Go to https://www.imei.info/google-imei-generator/
2) Generate an IMEI for a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
3) Sign up for the deal using that IMEI. They will ship a physical sim card for free.
4) Activate your phone using that card.
It's as easy as that. It worked. If it doesn't work for you, just cancel. No loss.
Great deal for me - I'm on a grandfathered $25/month internet plan, so for $25/mo, I'm getting high speed internet AND phone service!

I'm near Boston area. It worked fine in NYC .
If you streamed just regular standard definition video, you could stream videos all day, every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and only use only 730 gb and month. …Over 1000gb a month seems excessive.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a software dev and I use my phone a TON, but I'm almost always on WiFi. WiFi doesn't count towards data.
With a corn addiction, always having it play in the background, this is easily accomplished
Just call and say you want to cancel. Say that you aren't happy with the price you're paying. They should try and transfer you to the retentions dept which seems to have much more power to offer deals and usually it's a US based call center. Both times I've done this they have been extremely helpful and willing to call me back to discuss any issues (and you'll actually speak to the same person).
Tell them that the service is ok but that it's way more expensive than other options (doesn't hurt to actually try and find some competitor prices in your area) and if they could help instead. They know the deal. You don't have to trick them. Staying with Spectrum at a lower price is better than losing you as an existing customer.

I have 8 plus that I cracked the screen. They said I need to pay $29 and will do this thing after I come back from my trip. But want to know beforehand how things work here.
For reference I had been paying $50 for internet and it came with 12 months free line, from September 2023 to September 2024. However, they then jacked up my Internet to $80 and my phone line went from being free to $30.
Not interested in another line, just interested in reducing my active line from $30 to free
You already got your line for free for a year so don't think it's likely they'll give you another year. Probably be better off finding another carrier. That said, you probably could get a lower price on the internet service if you call and get to the customer retention dept. by saying you're wanna change your ISP
You have to contact them through retentions they will try to keep you from leaving
My problem was I wanted to leave them after the year
