I got this model and ultimately went with the one with the integrated blower for $79. It somehow slightly quieter, and 6hp at 4gal is awesome

I've had one of these for 4+ years, it's been good to me. Recommend grabbing some cheap filter bags from Amazon because they'll make your actual filter last basically forever.

They're fairly quiet among other shop vacuums. I've heard/used new/newer Shop Vac brand vacs that basically scream, while these Ridgids tend to be a little more tolerable. They also tend just roll around well rather than be tippy/top-heavy like some.

The specific listing I have for mine isn't active anymore, but if you search amazon for "Ridgid VF3501" you'll find many options I've got Powertec's bags for my bigger 16 gal Ridgid (basically unnecessary though because that vacuum also pulls through a cyclone filter).
Looks like Powertec makes a smaller VF3501-compatible bag [amazon.com]

The craftsman at lowes at $59 seems like a better deal.

This includes the car cleaning kit. Bought this last year and it's a great vac for the car. Plus Ridgid's lifetime warranty!

I had this for a few years. It was okay, nothing special. The size is nice for storage.

That said, I wouldn't pay over $100 for it. Idk if I'd pay $80 seeing as how shop vacs are littered all over FB Marketplace for pennies on the dollar.

Exact opposite in my experience. This little guy HOWLED. I got the exhaust baffle and that basically did nothing.

I have the 10 or 12 gallon one now and it's literally a fraction of the noise output.

Surprised at the mixed reviews in the comments. I have this vacuum and absolutely love it. I don't have the car cleaning kit.

The vacuum suction seems stronger than the 12gal one I have (stainless steel body one from Home Depot), and the nice thing is all the attachments actually clip into the storage tray on the side.

I paid $100 just for the vacuum, for reference.

Decent, loud, and big, mine died after 5-6, year motor just suddenly stop working. Rigid didn't honor lifetime warranty. If you need a good vac get a Dyson. V15 with the laser detect. It's my favorite vac. For cars, I recently pick up a Kenmore Spot lite. The combination of hot water, soap and vac is awesome for car seat and carpet cleaning. I currently use a craftsman 2.5 gallon vac $35 + Harbor freight car details kit $30 + Micro vacuum kit $8 which give me all the attachment for tight and hard to reach space. Since the craftsman has a wall adapter mounted to the walls. But I am currently in market for one more vac. I actually thinking of getting this vac. Since it's the newer NXT and has rigid sweep feature since recently purchased Pro gear 2.0 drawer tool box and wheel. It make it easier to store the vac on the wall and move it around. I like how all the cord and attachments and but hidden and store in the unit.

I also purchased recently purchased RYOBI Link drawer and rolling base which is a better storage system with the vacuum. Since the rolling base has lockable wheel and RYOBI link is made in USA. Which make it easier to move the vac around for car cleaning but the RYOBI link vac doesn't look impressive. I been car cleaning a lot lately I have 6 car I recently rent out to Turo. Some of Turo guest are filthy and messy. By all mean I am not a professional car detailers

Can you elaborate why Rigid didn't honor their lifetime warranty?

Fantastic vacuum. Been using one for 4 years. Had a baffle diffuser from an older vac I bought used and put it on this vac and it definitely toned to noise down some.
