It isn't an impact wrench, it is used after the bolt or nut is loosened a little, then it will spin the nut or bolt off the rest of the way. Especially if there is a long bolt or taking a nut off a long bolt, it comes in very handy, especially if the bolt or nut is in a tight place. Also, this tool works well to put the bolt or nut back on again. This is an awesome tool when used the way it was designed for.

Would you recommend a sheet sander for someone who doesn't currently have any power sander? That is, is it a good generalist sander for around the house work and small projects?

I would recommend random orbital sander for general use. When it comes to sanders, I would spend a bit more and get a much better sander. Sanders are one of the few things that you shouldn't cheap out on. If you plan on attaching a vacuum hose, might as well get a corded model like one of these.

I also recommend an orbital sander and for the house this one isn't bad. If your gonna sand a lot than invent in a brushless corded sander. But an 5 inch orbital sander is one of the handles. I suggest this one or even a bauer one from harbor freight they always go on sale for 25 bucks. Highly recommend an orbital. But the square ine is great for corners eventually your gonna need more than one sander. But great to start with the orbital sander. I've done furniture with a dewalt, Milwaukee, ryobi and bauer sanders and all have failed me after a few years ,but I used them weekly 👍

Could any woodworkers here advise me on this? I'm buying my first walnut slab and I don't have a solid way of flattening it. If I build I jig for this would that give me a solid flat surface? Or should I just build router flattening sled? I figured the planer would give a better finish but I honestly have no idea.
What a piece of junk. You shouldn't be able to pull the trigger with one hand while simultaneously being able to prevent the ratchet from spinning with the other. My 8 year old daughter has more Torque with her left hand than this. I bought this a week and a half ago and it's going back.
I honestly don't like it. I have had Milwaukee and dewalt and they way out perform ryobi especially non HP tools. But uf it's for using once or twice a year, it's good imo
What a piece of junk. You shouldn't be able to pull the trigger with one hand while simultaneously being able to prevent the ratchet from spinning with the other. My 8 year old daughter has more Torque with her left hand than this. I bought this a week and a half ago and it's going back.
Wow. 35ft-lb sure isn't a lot. It's definitely not an impact. I can't think of a great use for this light of use other than to spin on nuts, maybe. The brushless ones are 40 (standard) and 55 (for the extended reach one). I guess we have to go top of the line to get something that's useful. Thanks for the sanity check on this!

I honestly can't think of a use for it, unless yes, you've already used a wrench to either loosen a nut or use a wrench to tighten it down. If you're gonna do that anyway, pretty much no point to this ratchet.
